"November 28, 1876 AGD

It has been 5 months since the Confederation invaded our country, and has been almost a month since our brigade was ordered to set up defences and hold a section of the Zer line. The artillery barrages, air strikes and combined infantry and armored attacks kept continuing but our Brigade is still holding on. The hilly and mountainous terrain are really helping us out, i thank Lord Boggor for that. Not to mention, the airforce covering us from the air and are also helping us repel the Confederation attacks.

Unfortunately, our wounded keeps counting up, and so is our dead. Just the other day during an attack, Rinkov, who was with me in a trench and a good friend, got hit like 3 times. He collapsed on me and i immediately called out a medic. He reached for his pocket and grabbed out a letter for his fiancee, then told me to give it to her, before he succumbed to his wounds and died on my arms. Our company lost 10 men that day but i don't know about the other companies though. And just yesterday during an artillery strike, a trench a few hundred meters from mine got hit directly. Gorin and Pyotri was in that trench. Just yesterday, Gorin received the news that his wife gave birth to their first child. He kept asking me last night if he was gonna be a good dad. And Pyotri was itching to go back home to his parents, he said last night that he missed his mom's cooking. And they were both gone in a flash. This time the company lost about 16 men and two of our BTR-5's, our highest count yet

And now here i am, wondering, If tomorrow our forces will counter-attack them back to the border or even to the ocean. Or if tomorrow will be the day the confederation forces will break through our lines. And it will be my turn and this will be my last entry. Any day can be the day I'll go to Drugomir, "the other realm" where the dead go. I pray to the gods not but If it is, and my dear Tatiana if youre reading this, know that i love you so much, and know that everyday, out here in the frontlines, i keep thinking of you, and i keep wishing to the gods to be with you again. Take care of yourself and i hope you can find someone who can make you happy like i did when im gone."
