I shuffle again in my seat. Min's dad just arrived so we just sat down to eat and I'm already uncomfortable.

"So, What's your name?" Min dad said eyeing me. I was trying so hard not to laugh because I had completely forgotten what Min looked like when she ate. You could clearly see which plates on the table had been tortured by Min's aggressive eating habits and she just looked like the most savage eater on earth.

"Oh, um, Diya," I replied without thinking. I was just too distracted. It was also worth noting the contrast between the twins because whilst Min looked like the angriest human ever to exist Jun was the exact opposite, trying hard not to touch the plate with his utensils.

"Oh, Min used to have a friend named Diya, isn't that a girl's name?" Min's mum asked me.

"Actually it is originally intended for guys," I  said quietly. Min clearly didn't know this because she looked up at me quizzically.

"How long have you two been dating?" Min's mum asked me. I was too shy to answer.

"Three months," Min replied aggressively with her mouth full as she held up three fingers and then reduced them to just her middle finger.

"Thanks. Min. Oh, I have to get the pie out of the oven!" Min's mum exclaimed and got up.

Min's eyes suddenly lit up and she smiled at me with stuck between her teeth. I couldn't help but giggle.

"What?" Min asked me.

"Nothing but why are you smiling?" I asked her in return.

"Oh, you'll see," Min replied.

"Ok, dessert is ready to go for when we finish eating. It's just got to cool down," Min's mum announced. Now I was curious as to why Min got so excited. I mean I know why I would get excited over dessert but this was new for Min, at least to my knowledge. We talked minimally for the rest of the dinner that is until dessert came around.

"Okay, blueberry pie and mangoes," Min's mum said placing the dish on the table. My eyes lit up.

"Surprise! Blue flavour and Mangoes with a whole in the middle of the pie, you can blame Jun for no peanut butter, he's allergic," Min said clearly excited to show me.

"What's so great about 'blue flavour'?" Jun asked this being the first thing he'd said at the dinner table.

"It's my favourite flavour, usually in ice blocks but I love blueberries too," I explained.

"Say, your voice sounds quite high," Min's dad pointed out.

"SHUT UP DAD!" Min shouted.

"No, it's fine, that's just my voice acting up I guess," I said suddenly aware of what my voice sounded like.

"Well, whatever, I'm just impressed that Min is dating someone at all, not the best but what can you expect from her," Min's dad responded.

"DIYA IS THE BEST! SHE'S THE BEST PERSON IN THE UNIVERSE! YOU'RE THE ON THAT SUCKS!" Min suddenly shouted, clearly fuming.

"MIN! SIT BACK DOWN THIS INSTANCE!" Min's Dad screamed at her.

"NO! I HATE YOU! DIYA IS SO MUCH BETTER THAN YOU GUYS AND THE MOMENT I CAN I'M LEAVING YOU MOTHERF***ERS INTHE DUST!" Min shouted in response.

"MIN WATCH YOUR LANGUAGE!" Min's dad shouted back.

"I DON'T GIVE A SHIT ABOUT YOU! YOU SUCK!"

"MIN FOR THE LAST TIME SIT BACK DOWN OR YOU'LL BE GROUNDED FOR A WHOLE MONTH!"

"NO! I WON'T!" Min grabbed my hand and raced out the door with me in tow.
