Winter breeze blew through the arid branch of the horse chestnuts that grew alongside a hectic city in Europe. Its bough fluttered as the wind wave, tree seemed shivering over the freezing temperature.

What a troublesome weather.
A long tied black haired guy fleed a good amount of snows with the tip of his shoe.
Weather. Or people. No difference.
His eyebrows wrinkled so badly that anyone would think he just murdered someone on the last turn of his passing street.

"..hey"

Because they think I'm qualified, does it mean I got to be overworked?

"Hey"

Che. They must be joking. Putting me behind the desk.

"Hey!!"

Uplink people are such some cunts commanding, but never been in the front line. Even just once of their fucking life.

"HEY, YOU!"

They usually sent someone to deliver a mission. But seriously.. what kind of idiot they sent here? Calling someone's first name on the street..
He turned back, opened his mouth, but closed it almost immediately.
A snowball landed on his face. Smoothly.

Not the messenger.
Kanda Yuu could feel the snow melting on his face.
No attacking civilians. Right.

He sighed up and looked up.
"What was it for?"

A young male, look 13, he frowned, stood up with white hair covered most of his reddish face. Must be a student skipping class or a lost kid.

Instead answering, the lost kid threw another snowball. Which was easily dodgeable.

"Heh. Not bad for a-"
He didn't finish his sentence to dodge a kick. If his reflexes were bad, he probably got down on the knees at the time.
When did he-

"Screw you!" A voice came out.
No attacking civilians. Repeatedly he reminded himself.

"Let me go, you scumbag!"

He tightened his grip around that skinny ankle. "Watch your language to adults. Where's your parents? You could get any-"
A kick from another leg cut his word.

Enough.

He hung him higher to face him. Alcohol? What kind of fuckery is happ-
Then the air felt like been dried off his lungs.

An upside down red star marked his forehead, upon his left eye, as it scratched over the eye ーred eyeー badly to his left cheek.

"Fuck!"

Dropped him to the snowy street, he took his gun and got steady on one knee, pointed it over the poor boy. But..

What the- He's gone?!

Some of micro-seconds later he realized a kick from above, and saved his head just in time. His body responded to it sooner than he thought. A fist sunk in the boy's solar plexus, made his body fell, laying unconscious on Kanda's shoulder.

Shit. The Order would eat me raw this time.

He had no choice.
I'll contact Komui later, must hide the body first. With one hand he lifted the tiny figure and rest him in his shoulder. A couple of teenagers were about to across the street and noticed him.

"What? He's drunk" He snapped without any intention to.

The poor teens shuddered, turning back. One of them nearly landed on his nose in haste.
