The lights hung around the small town brightened up the streets and made the eve of Christmas look beautiful for those walking around. Ossyria squeezed Mason's hand gently, looking up at the tall, decorated tree in the center of the plaza. He looked over at her with a smile, the multicoloured lights reflecting off of his glasses as they stood tall by the tree. "It's beautiful." She said to him with a smile, her dimples appearing as she did so. The cold snow was falling gently onto their heads and into their hair, Ossyria's nose and cheeks were red from the temperature. Mason loved his snowball in her warm winter clothes, she looked absolutely adorable. "Second most beautiful I've seen today, snowball." He murmured, leaning down to peck her lips; she was quite shorter than him. "You cheekly li'l.." She mumbled against his lips, giggling a bit. "Oh...?" He pulled away from the kiss, blonde eyebrow raised, "Cheeky little what?" Ossyria looked up at him, opening her eyes. "Cheeky li'l cutie." She finished, cupping his cheeks and making him smile. "Mmhmm." Mason laughed, wrapping his arms around her waist. "I love you, chef." She murmured, kissing him again. He could feel the cold gold from her ring, making him smile even more as they kissed. Mason eventually pulled away slightly to say "I love you too, Ossyria."

The couple soon began walking home together, his arm around her shoulders to warm her during the cold season. "Hell, it's colder than las' year." Ossyria claimed, eyes widening as she shivered. "We'll be in the warm soon enough." Mason promised her in reply, bringing her close and kissing her head, "We'll cuddle up by the fire and drink all the hot chocolate we want, okay?" She nodded, continuing on their route, "Yes, that sounds amazing right about now." Mason had to slow down to her speed, her legs weren't as long as his were. As the snow got deeper, up to her knees, he lifted her onto his back. "Mason! What're you doing?" She asked with a laugh, keeping a tight grip on him as he walked, faster now that he was going his own speed. "I don't want your legs to freeze, snowball." He replied simply, bouncing her on his back. "Just enjoy the ride." Those were the words he said before the two began speeding up the hill, him neighing like a horse, and her screaming and laughing like it was a roller coaster ride. Within ten minutes of exciting adventure, the two arrived at their house overlooking the frozen pond. "I believe you mentioned hot chocolate?" Ossyria reminded him, climbing down and standing tall on the steps. "Why yes, I did." He replied with a chuckle, unlocking the door. As soon as it was open, she ran in with a happy and relieved sigh. "Enjoying yourself?" He asked with a smirk, stepping inside and removing his coat. "Very much so." Ossyria confirmed, cuddling up in a warm blanket. "I love the snow, Mason, but I hate the snow." He glanced back at her, putting water on to boil. "That doesn't make sense, snowball." She looked over at him, leaning back on the long couch, "It doesn't have to, I'm cold." She reminded him now. "The hot chocolate will be done soon enough." Mason said, going over to her. He laid down, pulling the blanket over him as well as he wrapped his strong arms around her. "And until then," He mumbled, "I'll warm you..." Ossyria pressed her cheek to his chest, closing her eyes. The Christmas tree was by the fireplace, the scent of pine flowing through the house. Ossyria had designed a cute clay ornament of the two of them wearing Santa hats, reading 'Our First Christmas'. The sight made Mason smile, remembering their old apartment and all the adventures that came with it. "You remember out first Christmas...?" He mumbled as he kissed her head. "I do... we watched Christmas Vacation and ate turkey pot pies." He laughed at that, running a hand through her long blonde hair. "Only because we both had late shifts and had no time to make an entire turkey dinner." Ossyria chuckled at that, kissing his chest. "Yeah, well, I'm glad Jerome won't make us work on Christmas." Mason shook his head at that, hugging her close. "He wouldn't do that, he knows family is important."

The kettle clicked, indicating that the water was boiled. "I'll get it." Ossyria said, kissing him gently before she stood to prepare and return with the mugs of warm drinks. It had been a calm Christmas, just the two of them all day and night. It had been their Christmas, and that was all they wanted. "Here." She smiled, setting down the mug and sitting by him again. "Smells good." Mason noted, taking a sip of the beverage. Ossyria cuddled up close to him, mug in hand, as she let out a happy sigh. "Merry Christmas, Mason." She said, kissing him gently. She tasted of chocolate and cream, and had the familiar scent of vanilla which relaxed him. "Merry Christmas, Ossyria." Mason replied as the two pulled away from their kiss. It was a gentle and quiet night that showed their love for each other, with no interruptions.
