After hitting the lock button on my keys locking my car, I made my way through the packed parking lot into the building. Angel's Dinner was packed ,it was Friday and after the football game people gravitated here. I pushed the door open and my ears instantly picked up the loud chatter ,but above it all I could still hear my god father George's voice yelling in the kitchen. Angel's Diner is owned by my god parents George Henry and Angela Henry they have owned this restaurant for over 15 years they named it after their one and only daughter Angel Marie Henry my god sister she is 16 and definitely doesn't act like her name. They have two son's ,but they are barely around always to busy handling business. Christian is their oldest he is 22 years old and then there is Messiah his is 20 and I swear something wrong with him ,but that ain't my business. They all gave their parents hell.

Then there is me Paige Dior Johnson. I just turned 19 last week And I'm also in my junior year of college. I have been a good girl all my life . I graduated valedictorian of my High School at the Age of 17 with a 4.1 GPA. I also was apart of National Honor society and Choir at my school and racked up 232 Community service hours. The Henry's are my only family dysfunctional at times yes ,but I loved all of them. My Dad is currently locked up he has 5 more years He was sentenced to 15 years And he has been sitting in a state penitentiary for the last 10 and my mom is MIA and has been since I was 6 years old. My Dad Denzel Johnson and George Henry have been friends since they where jits . So when my Daddy go locked up for 15 years on some drug charges George didn't hesitate taking me in.
I walked around the counter and made my way into the kitchen to find momma Angela. I spotted her getting lectured by George she had her hands on her hips and was rolling her eyes. " I done told your ass about doing that shit ... I got you to damn spoiled man!" George yelled throwing his hand in the air . " yup it's your fault how you give me the black card and not Expect me to run up a check you knew I wanted them shoes I've been begging for them and you put the card in my hand and thought I wasn't gonna buy them nigga please" Angela said flipping her hair. " 4K for a pair of shoes is more the running up a check ,but I got something for that ass when we get home" George said smacking Angela's ass. " aye aye nun of that up in here" I said making them jump. "Y'all nasty ,but momma where the list at so I can go pick the stuff up for Sunday's dinner" I said giving George a side hug. "Oh here you go baby and the boys are coming I told them I would beat they ass if they didn't .... they missed to many family dinners" she said handing me a long ass list. " momma dang you cooking for the whole dang Neighborhood this long as hell" I said looking at her like she crazy. "Oh yeah they bringing some friends and messiah bringing his New girl friend .... I wonder how long this one gonna last" she said walking to the front to help the servers take orders since more people came in.
I walked out the diner pulling my keys out my pocket accidentally dropping them. I bent down and picked them up and made way across the parking lot. Someone beeped their horn making me jump out the way as the flew by me barely missing me. The car stopped and the driver hopped out and made his way over to me. "My bad shawty I didn't see you , you straight ?" He said bending down to help me up. " I'm fine just watch what the fuck your doing next time I could be dead my nigga" I said catching a attitude not only because he almost hit me ,but the fact that my Air Jordan 1's where now muddy and my clothes are soaked from the wet ass grass.
