After we got up, Mark had another can of food and I went down the hill to a hot spring. I sat on a rock and watched the bees land on my flowers. Birds sang pitched melodies and flew around the trees. The sun glistened off of the clear water which led to a stony path. I wasn't focused on the beautiful nature around me though, I couldn't stop thinking about Mark. We kissed last night, for a really long time. Was that just a dream?

"Hey!" Mark called from behind me. I turned around to see him shirtless, he smiled as he saw me turn a bright red. His body... wow. "You mind if I wash off in the spring?" He asked, scratching the back of his head.

"N-no..." I replied, clearing my throat. Mark smiled again before dropping his pants, he was standing in his underwear. My eyes grew huge as I noticed his bulge. I looked at the ground and smiled like a madman.

"WOO HOO!" I heard Mark shout, a loud splash came from the spring and Mark submerged. He popped up and pulled his wet hair out of his face. "Join me! The water feels great!"

"Tell that to the catfish at the bottom!" I giggled out and shook my head. He slapped down on the surface of the water towards me which shot water out at me. I shielded my face and laughed even more as it soaked my jacket.

"Left. Left. Left, right, left." We heard coming from the brush. I whipped around just in time to see about 20 little three-foot gnomes step out of the bushes. They paused and stared at me as I stared back.

"FAIRY KING!" They all shouted in unison and ran towards me. Us fairies and gnomes are ally's, so we always greet each other.

"Fairy king, have you brought us gifts?" They pleaded as they gathered around my feet.

"Uhh yeah... this... blade of grass!" I said as I plucked one from behind me.

"I LOVE IT!" He shouted as he hugged onto it.

"Fairy king, have you heard what happened to Pyra?" The leader said, tugging on my sleeve to get my attention. My face went from a smile to a frown and my heart dropped.

"No, is she okay? Is the village okay?" I asked, worried.

"Oh they're fine! She sent that damned demon back to hell! She saved the village!"

"But did she kill it?" Mark asked, engaging in the conversation. They all looked to the right as they noticed Mark in the spring.

"A HUMAN!" They all shouted. "FAIRY KING, GET BEHIND ME!" They stacked on one another, creating a wall that separated Mark and I. They readied spears and flung them at Mark. Luckily, their spears were made of dull cherry wood, so they least it'll do is leave a bruise. One struck Mark in the shoulder and then it sunk to the bottom, cherry wood is pretty dense.

"Ow, that kinda hurt!" Mark pouted, rubbing his shoulder.

"Guys stop! He's nice!" I shouted at them, they all spun around and stared at me with confused looks.

"You're friends with this... human?" The leader said, as they all climbed off of each other.

"Yeah, he's not like the ones that killed my people. We even kissed last night!" I exclaimed. They had confused looks on their faces.

"If you say so..." he said, calling off the other gnomes.

"Look guys, I need your help. After I got hit by that demon, I landed in the middle of this forest and I have no clue where I'm at. I met Mama June yesterday and she repaired my wings, do you think you guys could help me get back to the village? I'll give you guys whatever you want." I begged, showing off a sack of gold on my hip.

"Fairy king, the village is just over that hill you know?" The leader said, pointing to a hill on the left of me.

"Wait really!?" My wings fluttered with excitement. "Mark get dressed, we're gonna go kill some demons!"
