Hell week was...well, hell.
Every day was the same, we did our workouts, we ate, we ran a certain distance and then we could have our dinner. Everything was going to plan - even though we were hurting, it was all good. The last night we were running the 50km, and some police officers stopped us.
" - Hey stop right there"
" - Is there a problem?" Cayenne acted calm, so did everyone else
" - What are you doing out so late?"
" - Just taking a jog"
" - Some teenagers reported meeting the fox mask criminals in a building around here, but didn't say which one, do you have any idea which one could it be?"
" - Damn that's crazy, but no, no idea, should we be worried?"
" - No, just stay alert, stay safe"
" - We will, good luck catching them officer"
A huge boulder dropped from our chests when we realized we weren't in any trouble
" - So they snitched, but not all the way" Eucalyptus chuckled
" - When we get back, let's hide everything and lock ourselves into the secret room for the night, they'll probably search the house" Dahlia sped up the pace for everyone
After the run, we headed home with all the little energy we had.
" - We did it. We literally ran more than a marathon, tonight's sleep is gonna be epic" Rowan laughed
We hid everything that was in the house, we had prepared for any kind of perquisition. We decided to sleep in the secret room - it isn't the attic, it's a different room secured so nobody could find us.
Low and behold, just as we were about to go to sleep, we heard the door open.
" - Search the house, but do it quickly we need to check a couple of other houses around here. Check the kitchen, the upstairs, the attic, the basement, every room you can open, open."
All we could do was hope they wouldn't find anything.
" - Sir, the only thing we found was footprints outside, it looks like the shoe is unique"
" - Teenagers come here all the time, grab the sample of the shoe print and let's go if you can't find anything else"
" - This house is clear, it's obvious people have been here, but it could be anyone"
" - Alright, LET'S GO THEN"
They left so we got back to our own rooms.
" - Who the FUCK has a unique shoe print?" Rowan looked at Frangipani
" - I do, but I don't give a fuck, this isn't the time for stupid arguments"
" - You're right, you're right. Alright, Fran, can you give everyone a haircut before tomorrow?"
" - Hell yeah I can" Frangipani got out his scissors
We were getting fresh cuts and chatting in the process
" - We need to get a really good sleep before tomorrow, it's the big day" Sunflower looked excited
" - Plan "Cichlid" to be exact" Rowan said
" - When are we starting again?" Eucalyptus asked
" - We leave at 11 am sharp. Alright, I'll get going, finish this up and get a good nights sleep, you're gonna need it" Rowan left to his room
