*************** Mina's pov
It was the last period of the day and I couldn't wait to be free. It was five minutes into the class and the teacher hadn't showed up yet. Should I just start sleeping?
"Mr. Kang isn't coming today" Soojeong said. Everyone in class immediately turned to look at her. She started to blush at the sudden attention. Why is she blushing just because they're looking at her? So stupid.
"How do you know?" Dong-Min asked. "He's car wasn't in the parking lot throughout today" she said. Does she even know Mr. Kang's car? I doubt.
Everyone started to celebrate for the free period. Excited chatter began in the bright classroom. "Don't get your hopes up" I said. That same moment a sweaty Mr. Kang walked into class.
"Sorry I'm late kids" he said and the whole class groaned in disappointment. A few turned to give Soojeong the stink eye and I just smirked at her embarassed face. As Mr. Kang began to write on the board, I put my textbook in front of me, rested my head on my table and drifted of to veroland.
♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡ The sound of the bell woke me up from my sweet slumber. I gathered my books together, took a picture of the notes on the board and left the class. "Min-A. Wait for me!" I heard Hyejin shout from somewhere in the hallway. Not less than five seconds, she was right beside me. Hyejin and I are friends, she says we're besties. But do labels even matter? They are useless to me.
We lived on the same street but our houses were a three minutes walk apart. We would go home together on most days but it's actually her walking me home.
"How was your last period?" She asked. I thought back to my sweet slumber. "It was pretty nice" I said. "Good. Good" she said while nodding her head.
The sun was terribly hot on my face, making me feel a little bit dizzy. "So..." she said. "So..?" I asked. "Won't you ask me about my last period?" She asked obviously annoyed with me.
I laughed a bit "oh yeah. So how was it?" I asked. "Amazing!" She said in a sing-song manner. I wonder what's up with her. Definitely a boy.
"What happened that got you all smiley?" Her smile just got wider. "Well... there's this guy-" she started to say but I cut her off. "There's always a guy with you, isn't there?" I asked her with a smile. She playfully hit my arm and gave me the 'stob it' look.
"As I was saying. I noticed him at the ending of last term but then summer came and Jaehyun and I just forgot about him. But then I suddenly saw him in my economics class. And he looks way more handsome than he did before" she says and shakes me excitedly.
"Wow another handsome guy. Cause we have plenty of them in our school" I said with distaste. "Ugh! Min-A why are you like this. He's super handsome. And stop comparing the boys in school to your celebrity crushes or you'll never get a boyfriend" she said still shaking me, I may just throw-up.
"And you have a boyfriend?" I asked. "Why are you so mean" she said with a frown, her lips in a pout. "Whatever. I'm tired. Talk to you tomorrow" I said once i saw we'd reached my house and quickly ran to my doorstep. I unlocked the door and walked in.
I checked the time on my phone. 2:47pm. My head was hot but I couldn't tell if it was heat from the Sun or a fever. I ran up the stairs and into my room.
I put an alarm for 5pm. Put on the air conditioner and washed my face. I quickly changed out of my uniform into comfy clothes and jumped on my bed, once again visiting veroland.
