Every girl deserves her own love story. A prince charming that would sweep her off her feet or the knight in shinning armor that would do everything he can to save the good girl in distress.

But having both is a lot more fun, isn't it?

The guy who's been with you through thick and thin, the one you have known forever and was always there to make sure you're in the right path in life.

He was both the prince charming and the knight in shining armor, he's everything I could ever ask for.

But he left.

He left to find the right fit to his queen's throne and the right lady in danger not knowing that she is right in front of him.

"I'm sorry." He whispered, his eyes were not meeting mine as he keeps his head down, looking at the ground instead.

"Its fine, you shouldn't be." I replied, my voice getting softer every word. I gave him a weak smile, all of the tears threatening to fall.

We were currently faced to face at both of our balconies, just ten feet away from each other to the left, both of our french doors wide open behind us. The moon created this glow making it easier for me to see him, his brown eyes and dirty blonde hair appeared darker than usual.

Him and I have been best friends since we were ten years old, 6 years later he asked me to be his girlfriend. Since I was already head over heels in love with him since elementary, I said yes. Stupid.

We're dating for three years now, the usual best friends to lovers story that 20% of this world probably relates to.

Until now.

"I'll see you around?" He asked, his eyes finally meeting mine. His face is unreadable, the emotions, hard to determine.

I just stared at him, not giving a response. Silence filled our conversation as I can hear my heart beating the fastest it has ever been.

"Goodbye, Dylan."

Something flashed in his eyes as he nodded. I gave him a last small smile before turning around from him with the uncertainty that I would never look back again.

From the guy ten feet away.
