i'm y/n and i'm 17. i'm friends with 4 boys named jaeden, finn, jack, and wyatt. wyatt is my brother but i think of him as one of my best friends. i'm really close with jack but he's been acting distant lately and i don't know why. today i was invited to noah's birthday party. noah is pretty popular and he has invited almost everyone to his party. noah was my friend but we weren't that close.
noah's house
i arrived at noah's house and i saw that wyatt, jack, finn and jaeden were already there. i want to shoot my shot today with jack. i liked him ever since i have met him. as i walked in, i saw jack looking at me. is that a sign that he likes me? i thought to myself. as i started to approach him, i saw a girl from my english class named emily come and kiss him. i felt my heart shatter. jack called me over. "y/n come here!" i came over and he told me the worst news ever. "y/n meet my new girlfriend." "oh my god jack i'm so happy for you" i said while putting on a fake smile while i was internally crying. i just want jack to be happy. i got up and walked to the kitchen and i got a drink from the counter.
i started to cry.
i placed my drink on the counter and went upstairs to the bathroom.
jaeden saw me go up and he followed me. he grabbed my wrist. "y/n what's wrong?"
"jack has a girlfriend" i said starting to sob even more. my tears were coming out my eyes like waterfalls.
"i knew it. i knew you liked him. it's okay we will get through this y/n. one day you will find someone better and you will live a better life." jaeden said as he smiled.
i smiled back. "thank you jae."
jaeden looked down then back up at me. "do you want to leave?" he questioned.

y/n looked up at me with sparkles in her eyes. "sure" she said with a smile plastered on her face.
