Coach Kakashi watched his star player from the dugout get a few warmup pitches in before the scrimmage started. He noticed something was— off to him. A lot on his mind maybe? Kakashi decided to pull him over and have a talk.
"Sasuke, over here." Kakashi said aloud, signaling the boy to come over with his hand.
"What." He replied uninterested while walking over to the dugout.
"Do you have a lot of your mind right now?" The silver haired man said.
"No. Can I go back now?" The raven turned around but was pulled back around by hand on his shoulder.
"Tell me what's wrong."
Sasuke sighed. But he knew Kakashi was one of the few people he could talk to honestly about his feelings. He sat down on the bench following Kakashi and began to talk about his troubles.
"It's my roommate." He said. "He's annoying. I can't do anything when I'm around him. I'm better off just having a dorm by myself. Is it possible for me to switch roommates?"
Kakashi knew the boy was being petty as his behavior was nothing new to him. "Why don't you try to make things right?" He asked.
"Absolutely not. I tried talking to him yesterday and it only resulted in him calling me an asshole!" Kakashi knew this wasn't the case, Sasuke was a stubborn boy, he would never be the one to apologize first. And it seems like his roommate inherited the same stubbornness that he did.
Oh boy. The silver-haired man thought.
...
Sasuke came back from his baseball practice ending at around 7:00. He went to the kitchen and made some rice and cut a few veggies for dinner. There was some left over so he just left it out for when Naruto came back from his practice. He should be lucky he has a such a caring roommate. The raven smirked at that remark. He went to the bathroom to rinse off and then sat in front of the television getting his homework done. After around 45 minutes, he grew bored and sprawled out on the couch to relax. He then had his eyes set on someone's bright orange hoodie that was left to hang over the side on the couch. But that was not what caught his attention. A small piece of paper, — a photo maybe? He got up and grabbed the piece of paper hanging out of the front pocket. It felt wrong, but Sasuke's curiosity got the best of him. On the photo there were 5 people. Two adults, and three children. A man with shaggy long blonde hair, a woman with long red hair, a girl with short brown hair and purple tape on her face, a boy with dark coal hair and glasses, and — coach? Sasuke stared at the younger version of his coach on the paper. How does he know Kakashi? And who are those other people? He continued observing the photo until he heard the clattering on keys and a push of the door handle.
Oh no.
Sasuke scrambled to put the photo back were he found it, but it was too late. Naruto stood at the doorway wondering what his worst enemy was doing messing with one of his most valuable possessions.
"What are you doing with that! Don't you know it's rude to touch other people's possessions without permission!!" The enraged blonde said.
Sasuke was at a loss for words. Instead of trying to clear up the misunderstanding, he replied coldly.
"Why do you have your stuff just laying around anyway? It's not my fault you don't give a shit about your belongings! Your stupid little photo here was just hanging out of the pocket." The blondes expression changed at that last remark. Naruto stormed back out of the dorm into the hallway and was off. There's no way he could sleep even in the same vicinity as that asshole.
Sasuke sank back into the couch cushion for a moment in remorse. Why did I say that? Then, his body decided to move on it's own, chasing after the blonde. Where else would he sleep anyway? Kiba already has Shino as a roommate. He ran out the complex looking everywhere for the boy. He checked Kiba's place, and he said Naruto hasn't stopped by. His only other choice was to go into the school. He turned the corner and heard talking in the front office.
