Today was a big day for you; it was happening after 21 years of dreadful agonizing waiting you had been finally asked out on your first date. Now this wasn’t some big life goal or anything but to be completely honest you were lonely, yes you had family and you loved them dearly but they just weren’t enough anymore after all you had other needs that no family member should ever fulfill (you shuddered just thinking about that). Not to mention the town you lived didn’t help your love life at all, the beach was your favorite place but the town you lived in was so small that almost everyone knew everyone; most of the people who were your age were either in a relationship, had different interest (sexuality wise) or simply weren’t your type. The guy you meet a couple of days ago was different, for one he was from out of town which was a plus and two he meet almost all your qualities.

“Y/N”? Your mother shouted.

“Yes?” You shouted it probably would have been easier to just go down there but that required too much work.

“Aren’t you suppose to meet this guy at 8:00? She says making her way up the steps and entering your room which to her surprise was almost clean.

“I’m way ahead of you.” You say standing up to show off your outfit which you were proud of, it was nothing fancy just a simple floral print dress with high heels. “I’m glad you came into here,” You say walking over to your dresser and pulling out two different shades of lipstick, “Mulled Wine or Ruby Red?” You ask holding up the two lipsticks.

“I like Ruby Red.” Your mom says examining the colors. “But I think Mulled Wine helps give your face a glow.”

“Yeah, I like it better with this outfit.” You say putting on the finishing touches. “Okay so?” You ask acting as if your room was a runway unless until you trip over some random shoe.

“You look great sweetie”. She says giving you a hug and making her way down stairs.

“Okay well I’m leaving.” You say as you get to the door.

“Bye Y/N don’t be out too late and don’t have too much fun”. She says giving you a long hug.

“Bye mom”. You say fighting your way out of her grip.

You arrive at Rose’s Garden exactly on time, the restaurant wasn’t very fancy like one of those expensive restaurants in New York or something in fact the fanciest thing about the restaurant was probably its name but nether less the food was perfection and the people were nice. As soon as you walk in you begin to develop butterflies what would you guys talk about, what if you talk too much, what if he gets bored, all those thoughts were running through your head while the hostess showed you to the table. Your date hadn’t arrive but you knew that it was sometimes a struggle making your way through the town even for you and you’ve lived here you entire life. Eventually time starts to pass; 30 minutes goes by when you decide to give him a call only to reach his voicemail. Soon an hour passes along with sympathetic glances from your waiter who keeps reassuring you that he was coming. After two hours goes by you realize he’s not coming, you put enough money on the table along with a napkin that you had written on telling them to keep the change. You hear the door open and saw a rather attractive man come in. “Glad someone’s date showed up”. You say in a whisper before noticing the man staring at you. You glance behind you to see if he was looking at someone else but to your surprise found no one when you turn back around he’s already halfway to your table. “Maybe the hostesses gave him this booth as a sort of way to kick me out.” You say in your head before realizing the man was right in front of you.

“Hello love, what’s your name?” You note his (amazing) accent before answering.

“Y/N.” You say in a quiet tone.

“Well Y//N, I notice you looked pretty lonely and needed some company?” He says with a smile.

“Who are you a mind reader?” You say in a jokingly manner.

“No, my name’s Louis me and my band are just passing through here”. He says.

“Oh well nice to meet you Louis, do you want to sit?” You say gesturing towards the seat.

“No date?” He asks.

“No date”. You say with conformation

“If isn’t my lucky day then having dinner with a beautiful girl”. He says sitting down across from you.

For the rest of the night you and Louis talked all night which helped you forget all about that other guy and before going your separate ways exchanging numbers and agreeing to talk very soon.
