It all started with a childhood promise. Sa isang tahimik na bayan, dalawang bata ang madalas maglaro sa isang lumang playground.

The girl, with a hopeful smile, gave the boy a small, heart-shaped locket.

The boy, holding a sketchbook filled with drawings of their adventures, promised to cherish their moments forever.

“Promise me,” sabi ng babae, her voice trembling with emotion, “na kahit anong mangyari, babalikan mo ako. Hahanapin mo ako, di ba?”

The boy, clutching his sketchbook, looked at her with a mix of excitement and uncertainty. “Sige,” sagot niya, “Babalikan kita.”

Years went by, and life took unexpected turns. After a severe accident, the boy lost all memories of his past—of the playground, the locket, and the girl who waited. His sketchbook, once a treasure trove of their shared moments, was lost among the debris of his forgotten life.

The girl, now a young woman, he4ld on to that promise for a decade.

Each day, she would visit the park, clutching the locket close to her heart.

The sketchbook had long been a distant memory for her, but the locket remained as a painful reminder of the promise and the love she hoped would one day be fulfilled.

Ang bawat taon na lumipas ay puno ng sakit at pag-asa na ang lalaki ay babalik.

She watched the park transform with the seasons, a stark contrast to her stagnant hope. Every bench, every swing, every corner was a testament to her wait, her longing unfulfilled.

The man, now a stranger with no recollection of his past, jogged through the same park.

His focus was entirely on his exercise, unaware of the history that the park held. His new life had no room for the playground or the girl from his past.

One day, as he jogged past the park, their paths crossed. Ang aso ng babae ay biglang tumakbo patungo sa kanya, causing him to stumble. He stopped abruptly, annoyance clear in his eyes.

“Watch where you’re going,” sabi ng lalaki, his tone cold and distant. “Your dog almost knocked me over.”

The girl stopped, her heart sinking at the sight of the man. “Sorry,” sagot niya, her voice flat and emotionless. “Hindi ko namamalayan.”

In that brief encounter, there was no recognition, no trace of the past. The man resumed his jog, the brief moment already fading from his mind.

As the girl walked away, the pain of ten years of waiting weighed heavily on her.

The park, once a place of hope and shared dreams, now felt like a monument to lost time and broken promises.

Ang locket sa kanyang leeg ay patuloy na nagpapakita ng sakit ng pagkakalimot.

The man continued his jog, his thoughts lost in the monotony of his new life.

Their fleeting interaction was a painful reminder of the memories erased and promises unfulfilled.

The park stood as a silent witness to their disconnection, a place where hope and sorrow intertwined in the cold light of reality.
