Ii. Stop that...

Panting heavily, I opened one eye, seeing the kid's head on my shoulder, his forehead resting there as he was also panting. His arms were around me since he just tackled me.

"What... the... hell... is wrong... with you." The boy huffed out as he laid on me, trying to catch his breath.

Wiggling to get my arms free I found my face reddening as the adrenaline wore off and I realized the position we were in. "Um, can you get off me? I can't breathe."

His curls were slightly tickling my neck, causing me to grow more irritated by the second as the boy was making no effort to move.

Biting the inside of my cheek I pushed my body up, trying to get him to get to move. The action caused my bottom to push into his lower body, earning me a disgruntled sound from him.

"Stop that." I heard him curtly say, making me halt my actions.

Now extremely uncomfortable I squeaked, "Then get off of me!" I couldn't blame him- could I? I was the one who pushed into him by accident.

"Yeah, yeah, I was just catching my breath." The boy rolled off of me, allowing me to feel my arms again.

Pushing my self off the ground, I got up to my feet and brushed all the dirt and crap off of me. I faced the boy, not sure how to address him.

He snatched his hat off the ground next to him that had fallen out of my hands, getting up and shaking his curls.

He spoke first, "What is your problem? You literally just tried to steal my hat."

"Okay wait pause- I wasn't going to steal your hat. It was a dare." I placed my hands on my hips, looking at him.

He blankly stared at me. "A dare? What are you, twelve?"

Mildly irritated at his comment I squinted my eyes at him, "Okay, first of all I'm 19, second, whether you believe me or not is your problem, and third," I began fighting a blush that was trying to claim my face, "I'm not the one who literally tackled a girl to the ground-"

"What else what I supposed to do?!"

"- and got a boner from it!"

At that the next words that were about to fly out of his mouth seemed to vanish in the air. He looked down and... chuckled. Indeed, there was a little tent forming over a certain area.

Creeped out I rolled my eyes, turning away from him, "Honored to know you found this whole thing arousing but I didn't so I'm leaving. Have fun with that."

"Wait, I've seen you before." The boy called out to me before I was out of earshot.

Not wanting to tell him we have class together I ignored him and jogged toward Sofia. I'm praying that she didn't see our little fiasco or else she'll never let me hear the end of it.

The next day...

I was struggling to make it through my required chemistry class- the one subject I wasn't too happy to be in. My eyes began drooping once again...

"Alright everybody, next class we'll be taking your pre-test to see where you're at. Afterwards I'll give my first lecture on..." I immediately began packing my stuff and before my professor even finished I was out of there.

I had 20 minutes until my next class so I headed towards the main library to print my book report for... I outwardly grunted... English class.

Making my way to the library I saw a group of people lounging around some trees in the shade. I pulled out my phone intending to text Sofia when I passed by the group, hearing a "Ayo, hat girl!"

Not realizing the words were directed to me I kept on walking. I heard someone running behind me.

"Dang, pretending to not know me is kinda harsh. But your butt looks nice in those jeans."

Irked, I stopped walking. I swiftly faced the voice I recognized from yesterday.

"Oh hey, pervert" I casually said, gripping my backpack straps, wanting to walk away badly.

"Woah, yeah okay, sorry for my ah, uncontrollable male tendencies." He sort of awkwardly rubbed the back if his neck. I noticed the light spread of freckles that dusted the bridge of his nose and underneath his eyes, which were a light hazel, contrasting nicely with his tan skin and dark brown hair.

Rolling my eyes I looked behind him to see his buddies looking at us, speculating. "Those male tendencies are definitely controllable, but anyway, what do you want?" I asked, annoyed.

"Geez man, I figured after our run-in yesterday we could at least know each other's names. You know, basic human interaction." He looked at me, crossing his arms, clearly enjoying my irritant mood. I tried not to look at how his arm muscles moved.

Eyeing him uneasily, I answered for the sake of getting to class on time since I didn't have time to go to the library, "Alexi."

He raised an eyebrow, amused, "... Alexi. Nice name." Done with him I moved to turn around.

"Don't you want to know my name, hot cakes?"

"I told you my name- use it," I tossed over my shoulder, "and no, I don't want to know your name."

Feeling like a boss I walked toward the building where my English class is. Knowing the boy was also in my class I prayed he wasn't following me.

Walking into the building I quickly scrambled to the women's bathroom. Checking that I was alone I pushed myself up against a stall, blowing air out of my mouth.

I admit it, that kid was pretty darn cute, so cute my heart was hammering in my chest just by thinking about him. Looking at my flushed face in the mirror, I pulled my long black hair up into a ponytail to release the heat building around my neck.

I hadn't really noticed how attractive he was yesterday, maybe because his arrogance was clouding my vision.

Remembering how he tackled me to the ground, I shook off how my body was feeling towards him, replacing my flushness with new found annoyance towards the boy. I did want to know his name, but he didn't need to know that.

Sofia had been blowing up my phone, texting me to see why I didn't come to the library. Ugh, right, I was supposed to meet her there.

Shooting her a quick sorry I sped walked to class which started in less than three minutes. Walking head high into my class, I quickly scanned the room for Mr. curly head- coast clear.

I sat in my usual seat, the end seat of the middle row since I didn't want to be way in the front nor way in the back. I leaned down to put my bag by my feet and get my report- UGH! I never got to print it!

Slightly nervous I got up and walked up to my Professor, a petite, older woman who wore cat glasses and tights with a long, plain dress- Doctor Gantt. She was intimidating at first glance but I realized that she had a much softer side to her if you caught her on a good day.

Mentally praying that today was one of her good days I stepped in front of her desk, "Doc. Gantt... I have my report, but I wasn't able to print it. Can I-"

"Just email it to me." She never looked up from her laptop, simply tying away.

Shooting her a grateful smile while saying a quick thank you I zoomed back to my desk, emailing her my report.

I tried not to watch the door but I caught myself multiple times so I resorted to taking out a paper book and read until class began.

Immersed in my book, I wasn't immediately aware of a presence next to me until an index finger placed itself in the middle of the page I was on. I started at it, following it to its hand, then to the arm that was attached to... Mr. curly head.

He shot me a boyish smirk, whisking the book right out of my hands, "My turn to steal."

Yer. I don't think I'm going to provide a cast for the characters of his book since I haven't really found anyone irl that fits their physical traits.
