Sighing, you have Alastor his favourite pastry like you did every night. A small frown imprinted on your face.
Him, noticing your sudden sad behaviour, looked up at you. Or rather, down at you.

"What's wrong darlin'? What's got you all sad today?" He asked, concerned for your well being.

"Oh Alastor, it's just that-" You paused for a second. "I've just been a little bit more cautious thanks to that killer that's been roaming around lately. I can't believe that the police haven't found him by now. . ." You trailed off.

He chuckled, looking at you. "If your that scared, why don't you let me walk you back home? I mean, we've known each other for a while so it's safe to assume that we're friends now, no?" He said in his usual, cheery voice.

You thought for a moment and immediately felt blood rise to your cheeks. He thought of you as a friend? Him? The famous radio host that was practically loved by all? Boy, this really is your lucky day-

Alastor waved his skinny hand over your face, trying to get your attention since your mind was elsewhere.

"I'm going to take that as a yes."

You closed up the shop and stepped outside, where Alastor stood waiting. After his eyes found yours, he offered his arm, which you gladly took, looping your arms together. The two of you walked to your designated destination.

The walk was mostly silent. Though, not a awkward, weird silence, But a comfortable silence. You sighed and looked up at the sky which was filled with stars. Alastor looked at you softly. You smiled.

"Isn't the view just so beautiful tonight?"

"Yes. Yes it is, darlin'"

You had reached your house and bid Alastor a farewell, thanking him for what he has done. You felt way more safer when he was around. He told you that he would always walk you home if you felt uneasy at night.
'A woman should always be careful at night!' He always says.
You smiled happily. You were finally making another friend!

Wait, when did you tell him where you lived? Maybe you just forgot. Yeah, that's it.

You waved off your thoughts and headed to bed. Tomorrow was just a night away after all. And so was Alastor.
