Thale's POV
There are lot of things that are actually beyond our controls. The time and space are just borrowed things . Some of us are looking backword wherein felicity and succor can be felt in the past. Why is it? Is it because of we have dread of today and having presentiment of what will happen tomorrow?
Nothing will change if we still looking back for what has been done. We don't hold the time and whatever happenings we may encounter, so that we need to treasure everything we have today.
In our lives, we will meet someone whose personality is totally different from ours. We may be opposite in characteristics, but it is not an excuse for our hearts not to beat in the same rhythm.
Maedi and I are currently walking in the Iloilo Esplanade. Variety of flowers can be seen planted in the milieu that gives a ravishing compliment to the Iloilo River downside. A lot of people doing their own businesses. It's like an amusement park, a lot of things can be done here. It's already 5 o'clock in the afternoon. The resplendent sun is ready to bow down and kiss the moon for welcoming the eve.
"Ley" Maedi said while trembling
"Yes babe? Do you have any problem?" I asked unfeignedly to her
"I'm tired" yeah I can say the same. Who wouldn't be get tired after an hour of walking.
"Does your foot hurts? " I asked while looking directly at her black-colored eyes.
"That's not what I meant, but....Argh nevermind." she said with her unusual grimace. She's acting weird since earlier, maybe she's really tired of walking.
"Do you want to have a seat for a bit?" I sedately asked
"No need, I can manage." her cold response... "It's already evening we should go home, especially you. You need to cross an Island to go home." she added.
"Don't worry babe, 10 pm is the last trip of the motorbancas."
"Tomorrow is the first day of our college life, you should go home now and prepare." uhmmm. Yeah, she's right. I almost forgot. Tomorrow will be our first day as college students.
"Fine. I'll send you home then." I offered.
"No need, Ley. It takes only one ride for me to go home" she said while tapping my shoulder.
"tsk. Let me send you to the waiting area of Jeepneys." I insisted
"Much better"
I hold her hand tightly but she's not responding to the intimacy of my clasp. As we reached the waiting shed, she luckily able to catch the last vacant seat before the jeepney driver start his engines. I waved my hands as goodbye to her. I don't think if she saw it.
It's already seven o'clock in the evening. I ride the jeepney bound to Robinson's Place in City Proper to buy my Pilot GTech for tomorrow's use. After 20 minutes of ride. Indeed a long ride because of traffic.
A lot of people. Tsk! It's a mall Thale, what do you expect?
I entered the mall and headed to National Bookstore to buy the pen. After that I went to Jollibee to buy foods to eat while riding the Motorbanca.
"Good Evening Sir, Welcome to Jollibee. May I take your order?"
"One Chocolate Sundae and one piece Tuna Pie, Thank you." I ordered as I reached the counter.
"I repeat your order, Sir. One Chocolate Sundae and one piece Tuna Pie. Dine in or Take out?"
"Take out" I paid my bill, get the order and departed the restaurant.
After a bit of walking through the mall's exit door I am reckoning the possible scenarios in tomorrow's first day of semester.
"Argh!" someone groaned
I look straight forward and I see the chest of man in front of me. So close that I almost touched it by my nose.
"Excuse me" I said and looked directly in his cold amber-colored eyes. He has a long eyelashes, heart-shaped kissable pink lips, pinkish cheek and perfection of nose. Such a lover boy. Wait, why am I perusing his face? I'm not even a fan of studying human anatomy. Tsk!
"Are you done fantasizing my face? Get your foot off, dopey" he raised his voice
What? Foot? Why?
I looked down and I see my right foot stepping his left foot. Acck! How stupid am I? I immediately moved back.
"I'm sorry, bro!" I apologized
He didn't said anything and walked away. Aww I feel sorry.
As I went off the mall, I ride the taxi going to the Iloilo Parola where terminal of Motorbanca is located. After 15 minutes, I arrived and buy my pass in the ticketing outlet.
While waiting for the Motorbanca's Captain to start the engine, I'm uptaking the foods I bought in the mall. In every chew of my hot tuna pie, every moments of earlier are keep on pertubing my mind. No, it's not Maedi.
It's the guy in the mall.
Ackkk! Weird!
