«Alyssa 's point of view»

"Alyssa, stop. I can't walk anymore. I'm completely drained." My best friend , Katherine said, sitting down on a nearby chair.

"We've only been here for three hours and you already give up. How nice, Kathy." I said, sitting down beside her.

"Though we've been here for only three hours, we've visited almost every store in this huge mall. Moreover, why do we need to shop today?" She asked .

"Because we're going to have a party today and you are coming along with Christine." I said making her squeal in excitement. Gosh, I forgot that this girl was born for parties.

"Then what are we still doing here? " she practically dragged me back to my car making me drop things in the process. She got in the car and started scrolling down her contacts, probably to invite some of her other friends as well. I shoved the shopping bags in the trunk and got in the car. Katherine just finished talking to some friend of hers when my phone stared buzzing. She looked at the screen and burst out laughing.

My screen read SICK NICK. Oh no, why now? I quickly sushed Kathy and answered the call .

"How much time do you need to answer your phone, Aly?"Nick spoke. Even though he was my soon-to -be beta, he has no right to disrespect me.

" I was driving, beta." I said. Beside me, Kathy was doubling up with laughter.

" But I can't hear you driving, Alpha " he replied obviously with a smirk on his face. Damn his werewolf hearing!

"Whatever Nick, why did you call?"I asked him. There was a long pause before he answered me.

"Do you wanna go out today, if you're free that is..." he trailed off waiting for my answer. I was about to say yes but Kathy was making hand signals to remind me of the party I was supposed to host. Oops, Nick will have to wait, I guess.

" Um, actually I'm supposed to be hosting a party tonight, so I think maybe I can't...Hey, wait. Do you wanna come to the party? We could hangout after that."

"Yeah cool, I would love that."I could practically hear the excitement in his voice.

"So, see you at 8 o' clock?"I asked.

"Yep, see you later." He hung up. No matter how annoying he is, he's still my best friend.

Okay, this might be confusing so I'll introduce myself first. My name is Alyssa Grey and I'm a sixteen year old werewolf . Well, soon to be Alpha of the Evergreen Pack.

By the time we reached the pack house, we had only two hours to get ready. Katherine practically ran up the stairs, dragging me with her. She slammed my bedroom door open and sat on the couch.

" First of all, we need a dress. Then we have to check all the accesories we need... " She rambled on and on as she emptied the shopping bags. This is so unusual, Katherine Evans was never tensed about her outfit. She had the confidence that she could pull off any style and still manage to look fashionable.

I dropped the bags in my hand and stood in front of Katherine who was mumbling profanities under her breath.

I cleared my throat and she looked up with a questioning look on her face.

" What are you doing, Katherine?" I asked her. She gave me an 'are-you- blind' look and said" Picking out a dress for you and me" in a duh tone.

"Since when did you start worrying.about what you wore?"

"Um.. Maybe I wanna look good today?"I think she intended it to be statement but it came out like a question.

" Tell me what happened, Kathy "

" I guess I'm nervous... " she said.

Katherine and nervous don't fit in a sentence.

" About what?" I asked her, making myself comfortable beside her on the couch. She huffed.

" What if I find my mate? What if I'm dressed crappily and what if he rejects me..." she trailed off, tears forming in her eyes.

I draped my arms around her and hugged her reassuringly.

"Kathy, it's okay. We'll figure something out."

"It's already seven months past my birthday and I still haven't found him."

"Shhh.. Stop crying. If you are so sure that you will find him today, then let's get to work." I said, dragging her to my walk in closet.

"huh.." She shot me a questioning look. I grinned back at her and said " If you meet him tonight, then I can assure you that he'll forget the word rejection."

Just then something or accurately someone slammed into me knocking me to the ground. Katherine made an attempt to pull me up amd succeeded.

I turned to look at the culprit and found out that it was Christine, my cousin and best friend. She is a part of our group which is often reffered to as the three musketeers by our parents. Christine was living in Sicily until last year and her stay there greatly contributed to her accent.

"Oops, I'm so sorry Aly. I didn't mean to knock you over." Chris apologized.

"It's okay, but you looked as if you were in a hurry, what's the matter?" I asked.

" Nicholas called me to tell you to reply to his texts." she said.

"When will you stop calling him by his full name? " Kathy asked.

" Never." Chris smirked. Nick and Christine never got along. They argue on each and every little thing that happens and I think that they secretly like eachother but I'll never say that to Christine otherwise there will be no head on my neck.

"He called?" I asked picking up my phone which was lying on the couch.

"Did I just speak in Italian Aly?"Chris asked.

I unlocked my phone and saw that he called me eight times and left three texts saying:

Hey Aly, I can't make it to the party tonight. I'm sorry. -N

Alyssa are you angry with me? -N

And this one was sent just a few minutes ago

Fine Aly. I'm coming but do you mind if the Beta of Midnight Blood Pack came too? -N

I replied with a 'fine' and locked my phone.

"So let's go get ready and rock this party tonight. " Chris exclaimed as she dragged us into the closet.
