It’s been a week now since I got angry and ran off into the woods from Robbie. But since then we've been great. When we are by ourselves we joke around, talk about things and have a laugh. But when we're in company he does get all serious and protective of me, always by my side, holding me to his or standing in front of me out of sight. I don't generally like it, but you can't just switch off your jealousy and protectiveness so I let him be.

I decided to go for a swim in the ocean before it got dark. Robbie and the pack had gone running so I thought why not. So slipped on my pale pink bikini set and ran down to the sea. I took a deep breathe from the surface and dived underneath swimming around watching some of the fish and creatures swim by below me. They were fascinating all different colours, shape and sizes.

'Having fun down there princess?' Robbie asked through my mind.

He obviously can see me out here, but as I'm underwater his scent has vanished from me so I wouldn't have had a clue he was on shore.

I surfaced while gasping for air then looked behind me to see Robbie standing there with his hands in his pockets watching me. He was smiling at me so I smiled back. I was about to go swim to him but he suddenly stripped from his shirt, removed his shoes and jeans and jumped into the water. He swam towards me and dived down underneath. What the hell is he doing? I just stayed still waiting for him to surface, but I couldn't see him anymore. Just then I felt something grip my foot and was pulling at me. I got scared and gave out a little yelp just as Robbie surfaced right behind me laughing.

"You jackass!” I said pushing him away from me.

We began play fighting in the water, laughing and splashing each other, this went on for a while.

About an hour passed by and the sun was setting, it was shining beautifully over the water and on our skin. We stopped playing around to watch the sun. This was so romantic, what made it even better is that it wasn't even planned to be, it just was.

I was staring at the sun like it hypnotised me, the same way it did before as I watched it set on my cliff.

Robbie said my name so I took my eyes off the sun and on to him, floating in front of me...

"I wanted to ask you something...”

Oh god is this the mating talk? I decided to shut up though as I'm obviously wrong about these things and assume what it is before he speaks.

"...I know my family understands that you needed time before meeting them. They know about your sister and they sympathize, and so do I but… there having a ball tomorrow night to celebrate their anniversary. They really would like us to attend together. The whole pack has accepted there invitation and now my parents would really appreciate it if you introduce yourself to The Tropix, I would really appreciate it Alicia".

I didn't know what to say, I was lost for words as he asked me to meet the family again, a week later, tomorrow night! Talk about last minute. But this time it wasn't just his small family, it was to meet the whole 400 odd wolves that will see me as their luna, but I can't just storm off and get angry again. I do regret what I did last week and of course it’s what’s expected of a luna, standing by her mate and taking care of her pack. But I wasn't his mate officially yet, that is beyond my boundaries at the moment. I owe it to him and his family to be there, and it was for a celebration as well so the full focus can't just be on me.

I took a deep breath and told Robbie what I think.

"I'm thankful your family was cool with me postponing meeting them, but again it’s so soon. Although it is a celebration and it wouldn't be nice of me not to go so I will", I ended my sentence with a smile hoping he would be happy with my answer.
