Btw this will be in jay's POV and most likly be rather long since i write long things and i am not doing another chapter so yeah....

Jayfeather was growing tired. I can't wait to go to sleep in the hollow. Jayfeather thought wearily. Just then Dawnpelt a Shadowclan warrior asked to speak. Her fur was now bristling as she yowled "There is a murder among us." Oh has she found about holly leaf? Jayfeather hoped that she had not found out. His sister had gone though enough with their own clan already. "Jayfeather killed Flametail." Jayfeather took a step back shocked by the accusation. What? How mousebrained is she? Many cats were rushing to his defense and he was grateful but why had she thought such a horrible thing about him.

Jayfeather rose calmly to his paws and stared straight at Dawnpelt not daring to speak before he could be heard. "Dawnpelt, what - what makes you think that?" He couldn't keep a quaver out of his voice. "Every cat knows you were struggling in the water with Flametail but why believe your story of you were trying to save him. I think you were trying to kill him." Jayfeather's pelt bristled. "But - but I was trying to save him, I nearly died." Dawnpelt's glare scorched his pelt. "If it weren't for you Flametail would still be alive." Jayfeather felt a flash of anger so strong it nearly knocked him over but it wasn't Dawnpelt's it was his own.

He took a brave, blind step towards Dawnpelt. "That's not fair you can't blame me for every little problem you have. I didn't murder Flametail and there is nothing you can say that will make me believe you because I didn't do it." He instinctively unsheathed his claws pressing them into the cold earth. "Don't try to talk your way out of this" she hissed. "I know you killed him. Since when do you ever show compassion for any cat." Dawnpelt had struck a nerve for Jayfeather. He hated how close she had come to the truth- he doesn't show compassion for other but that didn't mean he didn't feel it. "Your only saying these things because your bitter and petty. You only care for yourself like any other shadowclan warrior I suppose." Jayfeather hissed.

At that moment he felt a warm pelt brush his flank. "Jayfeather, Jayfeather your getting too worked up, calm down." A soft, gentle voice spoke to him. It was Lionblaze. Jayfeather snapped "and how am I supposed to calm down after what she said? Are you saying you would be completely calm." Lionblaze brushed his bushy tail over Jayfeather's flank. "No your doing a better job then I ever would but, she's just trying to get you angry and it's working don't let her get to you." Jayfeather blinked gratefully. "Your right, Lionblaze." Jayfeather took a deep breath and sat down.

"Well, do you admit it?" Dawnpelt asked coldly. Jayfeather opened his mouth for a sharp retort but Lionblaze's covered it preventing him from speaking. "That's enough, Jayfeather is not in any shape to answer any of your questions. He won't be able to respond properly because he is mad and you can't blame him. Any of you would be too if you were accused of murder." Dawnpelt scoffed "Do you speak for your brother now, is he too weak to say anything for himself?" She asked sharply. Jayfeather bristled at the remark. "I speak for him because he is my brother and he doesn't deserve this kind of public torment from you. Jayfeather will answer your question at the next gathering but not now." Lionblaze finished with a questioning look at firestar. Firestar dipped his head "I believe that is reasonable and if there is no other news to be shared this gathering is over."

Lionblaze guided Jayfeather back to camp. Jayfeather could feel cats give him anxious glances. It was most likely due to the fact he had never willingly let anyone guide him anywhere. He was about to enter the Medicine den when Firestar blocked his path. He didn't care what his leader had to say. He shoved past him and walked briskly into the Medicine den. "Well that wasn't very nice" Briarlight's mew took him by surprise he had expect her to be sleeping. "Since when have I been known for my niceness or compassion." He hissed. Briarlight flinched. "Are you ok?"

"No" he muttered. Briarlight nodded "get some rest and let me take care of you for once." Reluctantly Jayfeather agreed he felt too weak to argue. He staggered to his nest and collapsed on the soft heap of moss. He felt Briarlight give him soft licks cleaning his fur. The rythmatic strokes lured him to sleep.

Time skip

Jayfeather woke up to Briarlight with a mouse. "Eat" she prompted when he did no more than sniff at it. "I'm not hungry" Jayfeather protested. "If I have to go get Lionblaze and make you eat it I will, you haven't ate since this morning. Her gaze softened as she added "I - I heard what happened at the gathering." Jayfeather sighed. "That's great and all but honestly I'm not hungry you can have it." Briarlight sighed and left the Medicine cat den. Finally some peace and quiet Jayfeather's thought. He felt anxiety and anger coming from waves at the entrance and smelt the familiar scent of Lionblaze. His fur bristled "Is it true what Briarlight tells me? Have you not ate since dawn?" Jayfeather suppressed a sigh. "Keep your fur on. Any cat would have thought you had lost your tail." Jayfeather retorted. Lionblaze's tail twitched irritably. "Well, is it true?" Jayfeather paused. "Yes, Lionblaze it's true."

"Why" Lionblaze demanded. "Because I'm not hungry." Lionblaze narrowed his eyes. "I know that's not true stop being a difficult fur ball for once and just eat something." Jayfeather was silent for a moment "if I do will it get you to leave me alone." Lionblaze nodded. Then hesitatingly he began to eat the mouse. "Now leave me alone." Lionblaze left sadness aching his limbs.

Like a week or something timeskip

Jayfeather woke up to a sharp claw prodding his side. "What is it Briar-" He smelted his brother instead of the she-cat he expected. "Lionblaze what's so important you had to wake me up." Lionblaze's eyes were anxious. "Blackstar is here and Dawnpelt is with him." Jayfeather closed his eyes. "That's great Lionblaze but, I'm still tired so-" Lionblaze cut him off "You know that they will want to speak with you right." Jayfeather hissed impatiently. "Yes, but until then let me get some sleep." Lionblaze rolled his eyes. "Well, get up because their here now."

"No"

"Yes"

"No"

"Yes"

Jayfeather yawned. "Fine." He looked directly at Dawnpelt and Blackstar. "Well? What is it you need?" Lionblaze shifted uncomfortably. "All of shadowclan agrees you need to be punished for killing flametail."
"I didn't kill him and if this is what you woke me up for im going back to sleep." Jayfeather closed his jay-feather blue eyes. Lionblaze sighed. "I think they want proof." Blackstar nodded. "Yes, Dawnpelt really does believe it was you." Jayfeather snapped. "I don't see how thats my problem. Don't you think this is jumping a bit to conclusions. Flametail was my friend and last time I checked you shouldn't kill your friends." He added "Did you see me kill him?"
Dawnpelt confesses. "Well no but-"
Jayfeather cut her off "that's proof enough as far as I'm concerned"
"Jayfeather what if you tried talking to Flametail?" Lionblaze suggested.
"I would maybe if I could go to sleep long enough" Jayfeather replied glaring at Lionblaze.
"Ok I get the message. Go to sleep and try to speak with Flametail." Jayfeather closed his eyes once more and fell into sleep.

"Flametail!"
"Flametail!" Jayfeather called putting the name of the former Shadowclan Medicine cat.
A lanky flame-colored Tom came walking towards Jayfeather.
"Flametail I have to speak with you."
Flametail nodded. "I figured."
Jayfeather hastily began to explain everything in detail from the gathering to Blackstar's visit.
"I need you to tell Littlecloud I didn't kill you, because Dawnpelt is convinced I did." Jayfeather ended with a sigh. "I'm sorry I wish I could have saved you."
Flametail ran his tail over Jayfeather's flank.
"I will tell him. I forgive you, make sure you learn to forgive yourself."
