That Man
"Okay, I'm not really his grandson but I kept him company," Joe explained. Sirius momentarily stopped before he spoke.
"I'm Sirius Welsch and I was with him when the explosion happened. I just want to check if he's okay and he seems to be conscious. The doctor will be here in a minute," he said.
Joe sighed with relief. He sat on a chair beside the old man's bedside table. He saw a basket of fruits and decided to peel an apple. He was searching for a knife when the doctor and a nurse arrived.
"Sirius, why are you here?" Nate asked Sirius as soon as he saw him in that room.
"Checking him out... if he's alive," he said.
Joe pissed off for addressing an old man's health condition but chose to remain quiet.
"Well? Can you see it?" Nate asked him.
"He's okay," he replied.
"You know what I'm talking about, Sirius." It seems like Nate and Sirius are the only ones who can understand each other and what they are referring to.
"He seems fine, Nate," Sirius remarked.
"Excuse me, there's a patient here who needs to be checked. Are you the real doctor? Is he a doctor before?" Joe interrupted the conversation. The nurse turned her head in his direction and he suddenly winked at her. The nurse let out a soft cough.
"Before you try to make a move for a girl, return first... those on your pockets," Sirius told Joe before he left the room.
"What?" Joe said in disbelief. He patted his pockets and remembered those accessories which were never his. He saw the nurse looked at him but he just gave her a sweet smile and followed the man whom he felt quite intrigued.

"You're..." He was out of breath trying to match Sirius walking pace.
"Hmmm... let's say smart... ow! Sorry!" The night was alive and so are the people. The streets are now filled with colors from the stores and street lights. The roads are packed with people with different intentions and ideas on how to keep their night loud and alive.
"But I think I'm still smarter than you. How old are you Mr. Welsch? Would you mind having a cup of coffee with me? I can be a listener. I can also be an entertainer. Well, a lot of people said I have a gift for big crowds, you know I can talk a lot without tiring them out or being boring. I have a lot of good stuff here." And Joe has his own way of how to keep his night loud. Even though he doesn't know where this man will go, he keeps following him trying to make a conversation, fighting the loud crowd with his loud mouth.
"Mr. Welsch, I think we could be partners..." Again, he's starting.
"I don't want to be a thief," he answered, finally, making emphasis on each word.
"Now we're talking! I like that! Being straightforward, that's great, man! By the way, we've been walking for quite a mile now, where are we going?" He wanted to ask that question a couple of minutes ago.
Sirius stopped walking and faced Joe with a straight face.
"Did they also told you that you have a gift to annoy a person? Would you stop following me around and mind your own business?" They stared at each other for a few seconds before Joe starts making a joke.
"Woah~ Sirius being serious huh? Love it, man. I think I'll keep you company. I like people like you. I've been praying to Him that I want a friend who's smart as me but kinda blunt." He laughed. Sirius just shrugged his shoulders and started to walk away.
"Hey wait! Friend!!!" And they started to play a chasing game.

You'll know people's intentions when they started making friends with you or try to get to know you. But how can you know his intention if you've never met him before? Never saw him before? Never had a chance to cross each other's path? Never had a single clue of who is he? You never knew he existed or do people like him exist? He, who knows your every move, who knows what kind of breakfast you want, what perfume you use, knows everything about you more than anyone could. What would you feel if there's someone like that? And it was you whom he wants?
"Sir, good evening. Mr. Welsch was fine."
"Kill the old man," he said, he was sitting on his favorite Vitra Skape Highback Chair while watching the night scenery of the city, never had an effort to face his man.
"Pardon, sir?"
"Are you deaf?" the man asked.
"Ummm..."
Black coats and fine slacks. That man who gave him a piece of information never knew that was his last day wearing those. He faced the man who's now trembling in fear, he pulled the trigger and pointed out his gun which he's been holding the whole night. In instant cold blood filled the floor by a man who just lost his life and who has a family to feed.
