It was 10:01, Y/N was walking back home from their job and they were tired, it was raining and Y/N didn't have an umbrella "great" Y/N sighed just their luck....
They ran to the nearest store that was open at this hour and fortunately they sold umbrellas! They got everything they needed along with the umbrella then went to the cash register "that will be $3.85" the man in front of them said, they gave him the money and walked out with their bag and umbrella in hand.
They were walking home and all of a sudden they tripped over a box in the middle of the sidewalk "shit" Y/N muttered under their breath. They got up to continue walking until they heard a meow come from the box they tripped over.
They walked over to the box and slowly opened it to find two kittens and five cats, Y/N was surprised, 'who would abandon such adorable cats and kittens? Why not sell them and give them to people who want them?' They sighed some people could be so cruel sometimes.
And then they had an amazing idea 'why not keep them? I'm sure the cats wouldn't mind that!' Y/N closed the box then picked it up and started walking home with the kittens and bag in one hand and the umbrella in the other.
After another hour and a half they finally got home with the cats and carefully put them on the floor then kicked their shoes off, took their jacket off and locked her door.
They picked up the box again and went to the living room and then set the box down on the floor and say next to it, they opened the box and then one by one she took each cat and kittens out and sat them down on the floor "alright..." Y/N started looking at each cat "let's give you names" they continued and picked up a blueish and white kitten "I'll name you..." they stopped to think of names that might be good for him and then lit up in excitement of the name she thought of for him "snowball, I'll name you snowball!" they kissed the kittens head and then set him down then picked up a black one.
"I don't know why but I have this REALLY strong urge to name you crow.. So I'll name you crow" they said tas they kissed the black cats head and puts him down.
Y/N then picks up a blonde, tan and brown kitten and stares at him for awhile "I know what I'll name you!" They started "I'll name you pearl" the kittens eyes lit up and licked her nose, they giggled, kissed the kittens head and sets him down.
This time Y/N picked up a black and white cat and immediately started thinking of names "I'll name you spider!" Y/N says and kisses the cats head.
Y/N picks up a orange, black and white cat and for some weird reason the first names they thought of were 'Jack' and 'Red'? 'whatever' they thought and then their eye's lit up as she thought of a better name for the cat "I'll name you scarlet!" The cats eyes up like pearls as she licked their nose, Y/N returned the gesture with a kiss to her head.
Y/N picks up a brown cat and started thinking names, unable to think of any good ones they shot out a random thought; "muffin, I'll name you muffin?" The cat hissed in disapproval and scratched their hand "ow!" Y/N says in pain "nevermind! I'll name you grumpy!" They said angrily and put him down.
Y/N picks up a fluffy white and gray cat that's smiling widely? 'So fluffy!' they thought with a grni on their face. "you know what?" Y/N started "I'll name you Cheshire! Like the Cheshire cat!" They contiued while smiling widely, thinking they thought of the perfect name for him, then laying a kiss on his head.
They look at them all with a playful smile and says "who wants to take the first bath?".
