Chapter One

People as a whole, always think that they are better and that there is a group that is worse than them.

And that is true to this day, the quirked, who are seen as normal and in some cases-heroes, or in other cases, villains. Some kids from the age of 4 are told if their quirk is villainous. And that in it of its self is horrible. Then there was me, born quirkless. My mother's social circle destroyed. Me, doomed to bullying and quirkism. My mother killed herself in my second year of middle school, I ran away after I found out.

I built my own phone, told Kacchan about what happened and he promised not to tell anyone where I was. So I went to Dagobah Municipal Beach Park and built things.

Then I met Kai Chisaki, A seventeen-year-old who had a dream, to erase quirks as a whole. Which didn't make sense to me? Quirks were incredible, why take it away from everyone when you could take it away from the people who deserved it?

I talked to Kai about it, and he explained how he has tried to give and take quirks but anyone who has taken a new quirk has died.

So I explained my theory that quirk factor was a power source, like the idea that if you have more quirk factor, you have more ability to develop a new quirk, and that quirkless people just don't have enough quirk factor.

He-after knowing me for all of three hours- decided I was smart and that he wanted me on his team. I agreed. Kai owned a few apartment building so he gave me a room and we started working.

We had worked for months trying to get the formula right. I convinced him not to use his quirk on his daughter-whos blood we were using, he was of course confused, but I explained the trauma and fear she would feel towards us and he understood. So we started asking for her blood, and tissue samples.

I sometimes will stop by to check on her. She's super sweet, she loves apples.

I remembered that moment when I gave her a candy apple. We just finished some rough testing, we had taken some blood of hers but she was a little dizzy. So I went to the freezer.

"Eri-chan!" I shouted over my shoulder, "Come here!"

I had hidden the apple behind my back so I could surprise her.

"Yes, Ivu-kun?" She responded

I smiled, she had a small problem saying the 'z' in my name, I never minded.

"look what I made for you!" I pulled the apple out and handed it to her.

"Woaaaahhh, what is this Ivu?" she asked me.

"It's a candy apple, its even sweeter than normal!" I had said

She tasted it and her face lit up like the sun.

She smiled. "THANK YOU IVU!" and she chomped down on the caramel shell.

I smiled faintly at the memory. Eri was a good kid. Maybe after I pass the entrance exam I could visit her. Yeah that's a good idea. I should make her some candy apples. Wait, its been a few months, WHAT IF SHE DOSENT LIKE APPLES ANYMORE?!?

I quickly texted Kai.

GREENBEANBOI- KAI DOES ERI LIKE APPLES STILL!?

 yes.-GERMAPHOBE

why? are you finally coming to visit your best friend?!-GERMAPHOBE

GREENBEANBOI- Before I take the entrance exam, yea

YES! I CANT WAIT TO SEE YOU -GERMAPHOBE

GREENBEANBOI- I CAN'T WAIT EITHER! ALSO SINCE YOU LIVE CLOSER TO UA THAN I DO WHEN I GET IN DO YOU MIND IF I MOVE BACK IN???

YEA -GERMAPHOBE

GREENBEANBOI-I GTG TTYL?

K!! -GERMAPHOBE

GREENBEANBOI- BYYEEEEEEEEE-

I shut off my phone smiling. Good Eri still likes apples. I walked over to the drugstore and picked up what I needed. I paid for my items and walked back to my apartment.

As I started boiling the sugar and corn syrup, I remembered that I needed to finish my project. I decided that candy apples can wait and walked into my studio. Chunks of metal were everywhere, crappy desks and side tables lined the room. Tools were laying around the tables. And on the island 'counter' was my project.

A robot the looked like a backpack, designed to transform from a chest plate into armor covering my chest, arms, and head. It had speakers built into to it, it was a little snarky, it would play music at my command, I have small VERY UNSTABLE boosters on my hands and feet. and a WIP grappling hook.

The problem is my boosters are HIGHLY UNSTABLE and the grappling hook wasn't ready yet, that was what I needed to work on tonight.

Putting on my visor/glasses I started working on the boosters.

The voice of my project that I've dubbed 'basic' spoke.

Sir it is 2300 hours I must tell you to go to sleep.

"k  basic, remind me when it's 2330 I just want to finish up the bat." I responded

Yes sir

I had finished the boosters and the grappling hook, so now I was working on my bat, yes like a baseball bat. Inspiration comes from weird places. My bat was metal with a button to send electric currents through it-I HAVE to wear my gloves for this- and if I finish in half an hour a FLAME THOWER!

But I have to finish it fast because I only have a few days before the entrance exams.

Sir the time is 2315 hours, please prepare.

"Thank you Basic" I responded as I frantically started connecting wires.

Sir time is 2330 hours, please turn off the flammable item.

"Thank you Basic!" I responded. I wasn't quite done, BUT I can finish tomorrow while at the beach.

I went through my nightly routine and went to sleep exited for the next day.
