this was the day that kou and mitsuba had their date planned. mitsuba was curious of where they would go, but kou said that it was a surprise. he was nervous, but it can't be anything special, right ??
mitsuba : it won't be anything too special, what do i expect anyway ?? it's just the stupid traffic safety earring boy. although i'm still nervous. wait no !! i'm too cute, he can't know that i'm nervous !!
as mitsuba proceeded to argue with himself while kou put down the blanket right by the cherry blossom tree. he placed the bentos that he especially made for mitsuba by the candles and took a deep breath. he practiced a few more times, eager to play it perfect for mitsuba. the location was on a mountain which meant that they would be alone, staring off into the sunset. kou put on this best outfit ; which was a white button up shirt with a black sweater on top. he had teru pick it out for him because he had no fashion taste. after zoning off, he sat down criss cross apple sauce while waiting for mitsuba. the location wasn't far from neither of their houses which means that there would be no excuse if he didn't show up.

suddenly, kou hears footsteps behind him. as a reflex, he takes his spirit staff and jolts up prepared for anything to happen.
mitsuba : WAHHHH IM TOO CUTE TO DIE-
kou : oh, you came !!
kou gave one of this cute smiles, making mitsuba blush a bit.
mitsuba: w-whatever !! anyway, i'm kinda hungry. did you buy anything to eat ??
kou : i didn't buy anything, i prepared these bentos for the both of us !!
kou gave one of the lunch boxes to mitsuba. he sat down where kou was at and started eating with him. they talked about weird topics and laughed together. suddenly it started getting late and the sunset was shown right before them.
mitsuba - hey minamoto, it's getting kinda late so i think that i'll be leaving no-
kou - wait !! i wanna do one more thing just before you leave, can you sit down please ?
mitsuba - alright then, make it quick. i need my beauty sleep.
kou proceeded to take out with guitar. he took a deep breath and started playing the notes. he always imagined playing winters ballad for mistuba. mitsuba was surprised at how good he played. kou looked at mitsuba for a split second then looked away flustered. mitsuba giggled, trying to hide the fact that he was enjoying the view of kou playing guitar for him. after kou finished, mitsuba stood up over him which made kou stand up too.
mitsuba - you hella-lame traffic safety earring boy. do me a favor and close your eyes for a sec, make sure to not get in your feelings okay ??
