Vanessa POV

This summer had, by far, been the craziest summer of my life. For one, I spent half of it at Prima camp, dancing for my life with Beckett and Cassandra. Two, I hadn't seen Carly in almost 3 months, we had promised to stay in contact but at some point we both just got too busy, I guess. Three, I had absolutely no idea whether or not I would be going back to Keaton or not—at least until last week. We did it! We saved Keaton! I was thrilled to be returning to Keaton; and I couldn't wait until I could see Carly again.

"Vanessa! Beckett's here!"

"Thanks mom!" I yelled back as I grabbed my bag and ran down the stairs.

"Hey." Beckett said as I climbed into his Jeep.

"Hey! Thanks for driving me."

"I mean it's the least I could do, you are my girlfriend."

Time Skip

"Ready for another year of Helsweel?" Beckett joked as we arrived at Keaton.

"Haha. I mean we did spend all summer with her, but I think she likes me now."

"Yeah right!" He laughed until he saw my face drop, "I mean she does, outside of school; but when we're at school, there isn't a single person that Helsweel likes. Not even me, and I'm her son!"

The bell rings

Beckett and I ran, "we cannot be late on the first day!"

Luckily We made it into studio right before Helsweel walked in.

"V! Beckett!" Sasha shouted, walking over to us, "I haven't seen you guys all summer! How was Prima camp?"

"It was great, Sasha! I mean it was intense but it was great! Anyway, how was your summer? Any gossip?"

"No, not really. I pretty much stayed home, worked on some college apps, I mean I am a senior this year so—"

"Um excuse me! You're forgetting hanging out with me." Jenna said as she walked over, "Sasha and I are working on starting our new dance group this year!"

"That's great Jenna, Sasha! Have you guys talked to Carly" I asked.

"Not really to be honest. We talked a little at the beginning, but then she just stopped answering me calls." Sasha sighed.

"Wow. I mean I haven't talked to her in a while either—but I'm sure she was just busy with Selena Gomez."

"Yeah where is she anyway? Helsweels gonna flip if she's late."

"Speak of the devil—" Jenna said as Helsweel made her way to the center of the dance studio.

"Good morning dancers. Welcome back to yet another year at Keaton. I'm sure you're all thrilled to be back, but it's time to focus. Your junior year is an incredibly challenging time, and I expect you all to be on your A-Game." Helsweel began, as she looked around the room, "It appears Ms. Catto is late, but nevertheless we must begin. Ms Morita, as junior dance captain, why don't you lead us in warmups?"

Alya POV

Miles and I walked into school hand-in-hand. This summer had been great; and I feel like Miles and I finally have a healthy relationship. We spent nearly every day together this summer.

"Miles, my man!" Jax walked up to us, "Hey Alya."

"Jax! Dude it's been too long! How was your summer?"

"Fantastic! Kit and I went to a ton of concerts, and I've been working on my DJing."

"That's great Jax." I replied as we walked into the classroom, Bianca ran up to me, pulling me into a hug. "Omg B! How was LA?"

"Incredible! Scarlett and I had the best time—and I have some news." She paused to look around, "but I'll tell you later!"

Vanessa POV

School was almost over, where was Carly?

"Attention students!" Helsweel called out.

Carly must be here. I thought to myself

"We will be having a new student joining us this semester."

What? I thought to myself.

"Everyone meet Liam Brown, our new transfer student." Helsweel said, introducing the new boy who walked across the room. I had to admit he was pretty cute—but I was with Beckett.

"You've got to be kidding me." I hear Beckett mutter.

"What's wrong Beckett?" I ask concerned.

"Nothing."

"Obviously it's not nothing-"

"It's nothing Vanessa, just forget it, okay?" Beckett replied, his voice full of anger.
