The Pastel Spider (Sleepxiety)

Chapter 5 (Escape to The Imagination)

Toxic Parenting Mention (details given not descriptive) also I take back the thing about not using Janus's name I just won't really use it in dialogue if the 'lights' are around.

It had been almost a full year since the last time Remus had to pick up Virgil. It used to happen a lot more often. It first started years ago when Virgil was 'physically' 10. When both Ree and Dee realized how badly they were hurting Virgil. Even if they trying to protect him. Telling him the spider side wouldn't be accepted and he shouldn't show it. That for him being pastel was going to be exploited by the others. Seen as a weakness.

And for the most part they were right. Patton wouldn't accept at all if he immediately showed he spider side. Even if Dee, Ree, and Remy think that Patton would accept him now if he showed it to Patton. Virgil's anxiety wouldn't let him dare to try. And Roman in the beginning would have exploited the pastel, probably would still until he saw how much it hurt Virgil. Still there are better ways to protect your 'child' then degrading those traits as practice and to show what would happen.

Although that was 10 years in the past and it took years (and some therapy) to be where they are now. Both Remus and Deceit did change and helped Virgil with the anxiety and the suicidal thoughts. They became better parents even if Remus was like an older brother more then half the time.

That being said one of the things the tiny family unit adopted was if Virgil ever talked bad about himself. Deceit would physically stop him and Remus would pick him up (longest time being 14 seconds) and all if them would go to the wild side of Remus imagination, where the non side don't really go and Remus has full control.

"What happened! And why are you smiling" Dee yelled at the smiling Virgil. At this Virgil broke out in laughter.

"Sorry sorry I just said that so that the 'lights' wouldn't think you were listening on all of their convos. I kinda forgot this was a thing until I actually said it and automatically started the timer in my head. I swear Dee!"

"That's not my name from you" Deceit said raising an eyebrow.

"Well the others don't know your name and I kinda got used to it so I don't do a Patton and reveal your name by accident. Also I usually call you mom and you know that, or occasionally a wine Aunt."

"Wait Patton revealed a name?" Remus asks tilting his head.

"Logan's name hun, he lied to himself about it not bothering him. He was going to do it himself but Patton said it by accident. That being said he totally isn't subconsciously repressing his emotions again" Dee explained while sitting down motioning both Virgil and Remus to sit down as well instead of just standing in the middle of the forest.

"We could try to fix that with the truth or dare." Virgil replied with a shrug.

"OoooooOooO Truth or dare!" Remus said wiggling his butt like the weirdo he is.

"Yup you apparently made an impression on Logan with carrying me in last night and they wanted you guys to join. We are probably going to use the imagination for dares and such and J as a lie detector for the truths. Also how in the world do they not know you guys are together!! Like you guys are all over each other?!"

"Yes and the light side are always over here and going to visit the non sides"

"Apparently they actually didn't know about the non sides at least Patton. And we all know if he knew they existed he wouldn't be able not to make them cookies. I am pretty sure that Logan doesn't know either otherwise he would at least like to study them for the uncontrolled shape shifting and how the fit in with Thomas and ECT."

"So are we going to plan dares and such for them!!!!" Remus asked.

"And truths obviously"

"Yup and are you guys going to tell them your married?"

"You can use that as a throw away ask. Would you like me to make you change into pastel so you can gauge reactions?"

"Maybe?? I don't know...... Yes but make it one of the first things so I am not waiting for it okay"

"Sure now how are we going to gross them out!?" 

"Remus we are trying to get them to like us you can gross them out when filming for your episode. That being said if you can  control your self do it on Logan try and get a rise from him"

"So we should be writing this down......."

Little did they know the other were doing the same thing well once they convinced Roman to come back down that is.

"So what are we going to ask them and dares, this is amazing idea Roman we haven't really gotten to know them and we have been sharing Thomas for forever!!"

"Approximately 24 years Patton that is not forever. I suggest we start off easy how old is everyone and such. It might be best not to ask Deceit's name as he will most likely react like Virgil did  at first. We can also ask Deceit or Remus what Virgil meant when he was cut off. I would also like to ask Virgil about the 'non sides' as he put it." 

"You are being boring Logay, you can ask them questions for the geek in you but I want to know juicy details like does Remus have an Animal side. I mean we know that we do and the snake is a snake Virgil is a cat--"

"Virgil is a CAT!!!!"

"Wait Roman have you gotten confirmation? I too believe that Virgil is a cat but I haven't gotten confirmation."

"Well no, but what else could he be he sit on weird places, is antisocial, plays with strings, and hisses that and he naps all the time."

"Roman half of the things you have mention can be explained by the fact that he has anxiety, he is the embodiment of Anxiety that being said we know that sometimes Deceit cant help but lie I  wonder if the same could be said with Remus he is the basis of impulsive thoughts, actions and intrusive thoughts maybe he himself has that and that is the reason he is the way he is?"

"Um Logan.... you are spiraling again. That question is a little personal you should ask him and give him the choice to deny answering. we should also make it so we can not answer or do dares but the asker has to ask another one. We don't want to push them away"

"That is smart padre, they have the snake with them and he can tell when we are lying even to our selves which means that he probably knows things and will want us to admit it to the others."

"So tonight we will find out who keeps on eating my crofters"

"Well I can also ask how late you are staying up to work Logan" 

"And how many cookies you have eaten Patton"

"We are getting off track we need to be writing these questions down so that we don't forget them. Now what should we ask or dare Deceit...."
