"I'm heading out to play with the guys for the day!" I call out, slipping on my Hello Kitty backpack.
"Have fun!" my mother shouts back. "Be back before it gets dark!"
"Don't worry, I will!" I rush out the front door before she can shout anything back at me. My foot easily kicking the door shut as I speed around to the garage where the door is open.
"Heading out?" my father grins, handing me my sticker filled helmet.
"Got a lot of princess things to do," I giggle, quickly securing the helmet on my head. "Well, a lot might be a stretch, but I do have duties." I grab my skateboard, checking the wheels before setting it on the ground. "I'll see you later," I jump on my board, heading down the drive and turning sharply onto the sidewalk.
I haven't lived in South Park all my life like most of my friends. We moved to town when I was about eight years old, and I instantly feel in love with the place. Everyone was extremely nice, there's more than enough to do each day, and I never felt like I was meant to be anywhere else but here. It didn't take long for me to become good friends with some of the guys, and then they brought me into a game where we all act out characters. There's magic, and elves, and royalty, and no shortage of good times. I'm the only girl that truly plays along with them, so I also get some privileges, which I can't complain about. I may be best friends with one of the girls, but they can't get me to spend days just being in a club.
Anyways, I spent a long time coming up with a backstory for my character, Princess Rosa. It was all creative and extensive besides my name, which is just my normal name with the title of princess tacked on. Well, my full name is actually Rosalynn, but I couldn't be bothered to introduce myself like that each time, so the nickname stuck to the point that it is basically my name. Not that it matters that much to my backstory, which I didn't think would be as complicated as it turned out to be.
I am a princess, but I am not a human princess. I was born in the elf camp to the King and Queen of the elves, but I was stolen years ago by the humans when they raided the Elf Kingdom. My parents were killed in the fray, and my arranged husband, now King Kyle, took over as was destined of him. I had to learn a whole new way of life in the human kingdom of Kupa Keep. The taught me how to unlock my magic to its full potential, but I know that there are still areas that they are keeping from me. Either way, I have integrated as best as I can into the humans, and they treat me like one of their own. Their princess, Princess Kenny, totally has a crush on me, but I don't really swing that way. I'm still holding onto hope that I'll be able to go back to my true home one of these days. That King Kyle hasn't forgotten about me yet.
My outfit was also a lot of fun designing. With Princess Kenny looking a lot like Princess Peach from the Mario Universe, I decided that I wanted to look like the Space Princess Rosalina. We were able to find a dress of hers in my size, along with the little crown and matching shoes. I don't have that long of hair, and I refuse to wear a wig, so I just let it be natural golden curls that seem to get in my face more often than not. I do have elf ears that I put on, as well as a tiny bit of make-up that my mom lets me.
"Welcome, princess," Butters smiles as I enter into Cartman's backyard which he transformed into Kupa Keep some time ago. He's wearing a turquoise shirt with a yellow shield on it, turquoise pants, blue shoulder pads with white outlines, a dark blue cape, and gold gloves with yellow trim. He also has a rope around his waist and a gold headband with a red gem in the center that keeps his blond hair under control.
"Paladin," I nod, taking my helmet off and handing it to him. "Has anyone been asking for me?"
"Princess Kenny has," he nods, picking up my skateboard. "I think she wants to train with you, but that could mean anything."
