A Hole In One

Chapter 4- The trials

"YOU HAVE THREE CHALLENGES!" he thundered.

 Claudia stepped back, feeling the crunchy remnants of dirt and crust. The minuscule golf ball smiled sinisterly. "What do you mean?"Claudia pondered. The Golf Ball sighed. " Why must I deal with these ridiculous ninnies?" Then he sat back into the Golf Queen's lap. "The trials are a tradition that whenever someone gets captured by my evil manipulating man sucking golf hole-" he was abruptly cut off by an agitated Claudia."How racist!" she said, vexed, "Fine- person sucking hole?"The Golf Ball said."Happy?". "Better" Claudia mithered. "Whoever gets sucked down here is forced to take trials, if they succeed,  they will be free, however, if you fail..."The Golf Ball paused dramatically..."YOU WILL BE MY SERVANT FOREVER!" Claudia shuddered. Would she get stuck down here without any hope? Would she be abandoned like all these other servants,staring blankly at her,with swollen eyes? She had no choice but to face the trials.

King Golf Ball smiled cruelly, it was hard to believe such a small innocent, minuscule thing could be as corrupt as this. She could tell that even his civilians were uncertain at his dominating way of ruling the kingdom.

"Are you ready for the introduction of your 3 trials?" The Golf King asked. "No" muttered Claudia under her breath. Not waiting for the opinion of Claudia, the Golf King started rambling about the trials. "Your first fixture will be to find out the unicorn's most guarded secret". "No way,"Claudia said uncertainly. "Unicorns aren't real..." she said hesitantly but judging from the way that everybody was staring at her incredulously..."They are real?!" she spluttered. She felt like she was in some child's dream."Yes hard to believe isn't it"The tiny King said dryly. "You will believe me as soon as we transport you". 

"The second is to find the Good Kitty on our console game." Claudia didn't get it at first." "There's... a cat in a gaming console?" she pondered. If the king had hands he would've smacked them, face-first onto his head. "No," he said, " We have two animated cats on a gaming console." "Your job is to guess which one is good and which one is bad". Claudia shrugged. Didn't sound too bad after she has discovered Unicorns were real.

"Your third trial is to navigate yourself through..." Once again he paused dramatically. "Come on get a move on with it" Claudia ushered. The King looked irritably at her. " THE MAZE OF DOOM" he vociferated. Thunder fractured behind him, whereas Claudia knew this was just special lighting effects, it gave her a ghastly feeling as if someone was slithering over her grave. Illuminated in shadows, the king stepped forward, once again enveloped with light. 

"Do you accept the challenge?" he proclaimed. Claudia hesitated, she wasn't sure. Should she really go through the risk? Finally, she sighed. "Okay, I accept the challenge"then mumbled after,"This is really stupid". The king smiled sinisterly. "Finally some entertainment around here". "Your first stop is Unitopia!"

The thought of unicorns cheered Claudia up. The king pulled out some thought of contraption. It was kind of like a glow stick, but with a bronze handle, he pressed a button, and Claudia was enveloped into blanket of light,her whole body trapped amongst the force and she was avenged into Unitopia .....
