Looking out the window of the plane, seeing city below me for the first time, in what seems like forever. Eight hours ago I boarded a direct flight from seattle to london, one hour left until I start my new life. Looking to my right I see my mother playing on her phone, my dad snoring loudly on her other side. I look out the window sighing, I can't take another minute, I'm so bored. Why am I on a plane, bored out of my mind you ask? As for being bored, my phone died about an hour ago. About two weeks ago my father accepted a job offer, in london. After begging my parents not to move, and being denied each time, here I am on a plane to london. They packed the house in a matter of days, and had purchased three one way tickets to london. After they got tickets, and passports ready, I finally lost hope of staying in seattle. Having to leave alll my friends behind was the hardest part, especially my three best friends; Carter, Grace, and Vanessa. I'm already missing them so much. Having to leave seattle, my favorite place in the world, for a different unfamiliar country is not a good feeling. The night my parents bought the tickets and got the passports ready, I cried myself to sleep. I love seattle, even though it rains a bunch, and the second I finish school I plan to move right back.

Over the intercom they announce that we will be landing soon. Shoving my stuff in my backpack, getting ready to get my luggage. Waking my parents, and walking into a busy airport. Grabbing my luggage off the carousel, we got ready to take a shuttle to our new home. Looking up at the house I knew I wanted a room downstairs, as far away from my parents as I vould get. Entering the house with my backpack and suitcase, going straight downstairs. Yeah I know it's the basement, but it's better than being upstairs where I can hear my parents fight. They thought that moving might help their marrige, by sitting in the shuttle with them for thirty minutes I knew they were already wrong. The room downstairs had a bed frame, desk, chair, and dresser. Placing my folded clothes into the empty drawer, I also had a walk-in closet with a connecting bathroom, nice.

  "Amanda, come get your stuff!"

"K!," I replied, walking slowly up the stairs. I grabbed a box labeled 'Amandas room' in sharpie. I walked back to my new room. The walls are painted a light blue; it didnt look bad I'll probably keep it anyways.

"Here you go Amanda," said my dad, putting my mattress on my bed.

"Thanks," I said as he walked back upstairs. Making my bed, I then placed a picture of me and my three best friends. I miss them so much. I plugged in my phone for tomorrow. I grabbed my ipod plugging in earbuds. I hit play, Ed Sheerans voice filing my ears. I laid down on my bed, not bothering to go up for dinner. I fell asleep, silent tears rolling down my face.
