I shouldn't have asked. I'm such an idiot.
So I went down stairs and asked my mum what was going on. Well she looked me straight in the eye and I could see the tears in her eyes.
She broke down.
I didn't know what to do.
I looked down at me feet.
I could feel the tears in my eyes. They threatened to roll down my face. I blinked hard trying not to make it obvious.
Too late, mum was looking up at me with tears streaming down her face.
I blinked harderShe put her hands on my shoulders.
Shivers spread through my back. I resisted the urge to shudder.
Oops. Too late.
My mum pulled away. She cried even more now.
It's always really awkward when she cries.
She hardly ever cries but when she does it is something important.
Always.
