Haruka Nakamura kneels patiently by a bush of roses, her hand gently holding a pair of secateurs. She keeps back the heat of the sunny day with an ornate fan in hand. Her eyes narrow behind the fabric, focusing on bringing those small blades through the rose's stem. The flower comes clean off, and Haruka places it with the others by her feet.

Her job today is to make a bouquet to welcome the new face moving in with the five housemates. Her name is Sunako Nakahara, but Haruka nor the four males have ever seen her. Their job, as Auntie has stated, is to turn this mysterious girl, into an elegant lady.

How hard can it be?

Haruka is broken from her concentration by Yukinojo. His high voice calls excitedly into a bush not far down from Haruka. She turns to observe the feminine male on his hands and knees.

"Come here, puss-puss. Meow," Yuki calls. He persists for the creature in the bushes to come out, getting close enough to glimpse through the leaves. But, as soon as those dark violet eyes meet his, Yuki freezes. The three other boys approach the spot, and Haruka trails close behind.

"Yuki, what's the matter?" Takenaga asks.

"G-g-gho-g-," Yuki stammers.

"G?"

"Ghost!"

The rustling bush suddenly beelines across the yard, past the collection of roses Haruka was cutting, until Kyohei shouts for it to stop. Abiding by the shout, the moving ball stops, and out pops a tattered, unkempt figure, frightening the boys further. They all shout in terror, legs shaking miserably.

"Wait!" Takenaga exclaims. "Calm down. It's human—I think?"

"Y'know, she does look kind of human," Ranmaru says.

The newly discovered person standing before them looks nothing like a human at first glance. With unbrushed hair, a stained, baggy jumper, and an ugly patterned skirt with its hem coming loose.

Haruka looks her up and down and tilts her head in thought. 'This girl is truly a sight.'

"Dont... Don't tell me you're Sunako..." Takenaga stammers out. The girl moves as if to nod. The others gasp at the revelation.

Ranmaru, being the quickest to compose himself, directs Sunako towards the mansion behind them. "I'll show you to your room."

The six companions all huddle inside the main foyer, the polished floors and glittering lights as bright as always. Sunako takes her time to look at the scenery, occasionally shielding her face from the overhead lights.

"We're using the second floor," Ranmaru says. "So you'll be on the first floor with Nakamura." He gestures back at Haruka with a strained smile, and the latter bows her head respectfully, keeping her fan delicately over her face. Through her tasselled fridge, Sunako pauses to look upon the covered face of Haruka Nakamura. The fan shielding her eyes still allows a view of defining features, and Sunako sees the ordinary appearance Haruka has. She isn't like the creatures of light - she looks normal. At least there is something here she can take a liking to.

"Hey," Kyohei pipes up as they arrive outside Sunako's new bedroom. "Your bangs are way too long. You'd better cut them."

The group mutters at his blunt statement, all until a globe hanging above shatters with a loud bang.

"Shut up." The sharpness of Sunako's voice startles the group. "It's none of your business. I like them this way. Don't tell me what to do." And with that, she walks into her room and slams the door behind her.

"What's her deal!?"

"Calm down, Kyohei," Takenaga yells while holding on to Kyohei for dear life as he struggles for the door. "Deal with it."

"Way to go, Kyohei," Haruka chides. The blonde looks back at her with a glare, seeing her eyes through the blue fabric of her fan. He knows what colour lies under there - molten gold like none other - but it cannot be seen through her trusty cover.

At the jonsons cafe, mutters and giggling suffocate the air. Haruka, now missing the fan and sporting a think pair of blue-tinted glasses, sighs quietly beside Kyohei, seated in a rounded booth with the other three boys. They have congregated here to discuss the issue of their new housemate, which the boys have found to be disturbing. Haruka doesn't mind the new girl all that much, as she's a nice breather from the others.

"What are we gonna do?"

"I... Break out into a rash every time I see an ugly girl..." Ranmaru remarks. Haruka can be thankful to say he didn't have such an issue when she first met him.

"I can't handle horror movies," Yuki says. "She's like a horror movie come to life."

"She doesn't seem like that bad a girl," Takenaga mutters. "But she's pretty weird."

"I hate putting on a fake smile and trying to pretend that I like someone!" Kyohei states. "And when I think that I'm gonna have to do that around her... Oh god, that's too horrible."

Haruka lets out another sigh right as three blushing waiters step forward.

"May I take your order?"

The four men turn in sync, faces relaxing as they state simply, "All I want is a regular girl..."

Moments later the cafe erupts in queals and fainting teens. The waiters bury their heads in their notepads as they hide their raging red cheeks. A small fight starts up in the background and the group decides that's their queue to leave. They decide the go to the shops to get some food for themselves, and something for Sunako too. She hasn't come out of her room all day. She must be hungry.
