Genn
Gennevieve looked at her reflection in the mirror, her eyes wide as she took in her appearance. Jade had dressed her in some denim trousers for girls, they called jeans, and some combat boots. She also put her in a black sleeveless shirt with the ARMY on the front, which was underneath a camouflage flannel shirt. Her red hair was let down from it usual braid, and was wavy and hit her bottom. Jade had brushed it back, and put a black beanie on her head.
Genn had refused any makeup, not wanting to delude her natural look. Jade had given up, and agreed finally and they walked out of her room to see Emmett leaning against the wall across the hall. He was looking at the floor, but looked up upon hearing the door open. His eyes widened and almost popped out of his head at the sight of Genn.
"What do ya' think yur' wearing lassy?" He sounded angry, and surprised. "There's no way that a young lady like you should be showing that much skin! And why are ye' wearin' trousers?" Emmett walked over to her and out his hands on her shoulders.
"She needs to fit in here in New York, and she can't do that wearing those dresses. We're going to the mall to find stuff for her to fit in more. So get used to seeing her in stuff like this."
Emmett glared at the girl, and flushed a deep red when she winked at him. Genn was surprisingly angered by her action and quickly, grabbed Emmett's attention once more.
"Emmett, I'm fine. It's different, but it's also necessary." She smiled at him, and watched as he hesitated and then smile back, the familiar sparkle in his eyes. He nodded and then let her go, and straightening from his hunched position, seeing that she was at least a foot shorter.
"Okay, I trust you Genn, but if I see a boy ogling you, that's the end."
"What?! Of course boys are going to look at her, I mean she's hot! You're just going to have to get used to seeing her like this Em." Jade said. She smiled in triumph and smirked.
"Lassy, do not call me Em, there's only one person allowed to call me that and that is Gennvieve." Emmett glared at Jade once more, causing the girls face to drop.
Emmett stormed away and down the stairs. Genn sighed as she watched his retreating figure.
She followed not far behind, finding him in the kitchen, drinking what looked to be water. She walked up to him, and put her hand in his shoulder, he sighed and his frame softened.
"This isn't going to be easy, Gennevieve, we just left behind everything we had." He turned to look at her and smiled. "Everything but each other."
"Always, Emmett. This isn't going to be easy, but guess what?"
"What?"
"They never said it would be."

Gennevieve
🔹At the Mall🔹
They had been walking around everywhere, making Emmett carry most of the bags. Jade thought that because Genn was royalty, and Emmett was not, that he would carry everything for them. Genn was not liking Jade very much. She would always catch her often staring at Emmett, and that made her upset.
Emmett of course never even gave her the time of day, letting Genn know, he didn't fancy Jade either.
They had just come out of a store called Spencer's, not being in there long, when Emmett saw what they sold. They hadn't bought anything, Emmett wouldn't allow her to. They had just walked out when Jade's name was called out. They turned to see a boy running towards them.
