In the Panthers Eyes (ON HOLD!)

Chapter 3

Chapter 3:

When the bell for class rang all the other students slowly filed in followed by the teacher. I sit in my seat and wait for the action to begin. Sadly before the teacher can touch his podium the Nick dude from lunch walks in late and over to him and says "Sorry I'm late Sir but I had to talk to someone. Oh and before class started I saw the new girl messing with the chemicals and rig something to your podium. So I'm guessing that if you touch your podium it will set it off."

       I sit there dumb founded. No one has EVER tried to stop one of my plans from being set in motion, because none of them were stupid enough to try. The teacher looks at me raises an eyebrow and asks "Is this true?" I put on my hurt and innocent face and respond with "Absolutely not!! Why would I do something like that?!?" All the while in my head I was giving that boy death stares. He looks at me and raises an eyebrow "Oh really do you want to see the video to prove it?" My eyes narrow on him I guess he is determined to stop it at all costs so I respond with "No I don't wanna see it! You probably faked it!" I walked to the front of the room and stood across from him as I talked. Which put me in front of the podium.

            Just to show nothing would happen I put my arm against it and leaned on it. "You were saying that I rigged it so that when touched something would happen? Well I'm leaning on it and nothing is happening. So your theory is proved wrong." I say smirking then walk back to my seat. I guess it’s a good thing I rigged it to only go off if touched or moved from the other direction. If I didn't that would not have been good at all. He stares at me then looks at his phone "But I still have proof that you were in here before class started unsupervised with chemicals."

       "You’re right I was here but I was done in the lunch room as you very well know so I decided to come here. Is that a problem?" When I finish that sentence the teacher looks at him and says "Okay Nick I think that is enough." The teacher then walked over to him but before he reaches him he bumps the podium and plan E 2.0 is in motion. Everything then starts to fall off of the bookshelves which sets of the loud BOOM and the red smoke begins to permeate the air. When the smoke starts to fill the room everyone begins to freak out. I am in my seat laughing my ass off once again because I was still able to pull off the prank! As everyone starts to run out of the room I sit there like its nothing they all think it’s poisonous or something when in reality it’s just a simple reaction that produces red smoke and a loud BOOM.

       Once the room clears of the smoke (which was closer to the end of class) everyone comes back in but this time the principal comes in with them. My smile just widens even more as all eyes are on me. "Ms. Williams please come with me. You too Nicholas." We walk out of the class room me with a hop in my step and Nick just glares. I am still trying to figure out what is so familiar about him but I still can't put my finger on it. Once we make it to the principal’s office he tells us to sit down. I am smiling a sweet innocent smile while Nick is still glaring at me.

       "Now Ms. Williams this is your first day here so I am going to give you the chance to explain yourself before I decide on the proper consequence." The principal calmly says. "Sure! I have no reason I did it because I can. I knew the chemicals, their properties, and such so I also knew what they react to and the outcomes of said reactions. I do what I want simple as that. I could have created a reaction that was much worse than that. That was actually tame compared to some of the stuff I have done in the past. You should be happy that was all I did." I respond smirking.

            Both the principal and Nick look at me with dumbfounded expressions. The look on their face is so priceless that I start to die laughing again. Once I calm down again the principal proceeds to say “I understand you don’t want to be attending this school, but under your older siblings direct orders you are to stay in this school so instead of expulsion you have detention for a month, and have to help the janitors clean the school after detention.” I was now the one dumbfounded as I stared at the principal with my jaw dropped. I was so shocked that I barely registered Nick silently laughing at my reaction enjoying the fact that I did not get what I was hoping for. 

            After that the principal dismissed us back to our classes. I was beginning to become even angrier knowing that no matter how hard I tried I would not be able to be expelled from this damn school. Fuck everyone here I will be out of this school one way or another. As I am walking down the hall with Nick beside me I start to smirk thinking of my next move. Seeing this he starts to catch onto the fact that I have another plan and says “I wouldn’t try anything else because from what he said you will be staying in school till you graduate.

Ignoring him I walk into my next class not realizing he had the same class until he sat down beside me. I guess since we are in the same class I will have to hold off on my pranks and continuously watch my back to see if he is there. This is gonna be a long week.
