The bell above my head rang as I walked into the coffee shop. I needed to get out of the house for the day, and the coffee shop was the only place that came to mind.
Linda was working like she usually does every other morning that I show.
"I'll have the special today" I smiled as I sat down on the stool.
"Who changed you..." she asked me dramatically.
"No one changed me," I laughed, "I just fancy the rainbow pancakes."
"Alright, anything for you" she winked.
My sprinkle covered pancakes were set in front of me in the matter of minutes. It didn't seem like a very "nutritious" breakfast but it was basically lunch and why not relive a child hood memory of ordering some classic rainbow pancakes.
"So, have you talked to that mystery boy that was in the coffee shop the other morning?" She leaned on the counter in front me as I ate.
"Ya I have actually, and he's not who everyone thinks he is"
"Is that right?" I nodded in response.
"His name is harry, I have math and English with him. He is actually really sweet, but not my type" I shrugged. I didn't actually know myself what "type" of guys I was into, but I didn't want the possibility of me liking him to pop into Linda's head.
"Well, just be careful"
"I always am" i smiled lightly.
"You know I worry about you" her expression angered me. So many times I've had to see that expression on people's faces when they talked to me; it's a look of pity for me. I don't need anyone to feel bad for me, and I sure as hell don't need anyone to worry about me.
"I'm fine. You have nothing to worry about" I assured her, trying to sound as confident as possible.
"Hey, isn't that mystery boy now?" I spinned around on the stool to see the green orbed beauty...i mean Harry, walking through the door.
Our eyes met immediately.
"Hey" I mouthed and waved, getting a smile in return but instead of Harry taking a seat beside me he walked back to the very corner, that I had first ever seen him.
"He always sits back there, looking deep in thought. Orders a black coffee and keeps to himself" Linda told me as I turned back around towards her.
I hummed in response, feeling almost discouraged that he didn't sit with me.
"Brooke? He's staring at you"
I turned my head to look at him and sure enough he was eyeing me.
"Come here" he mouthed gesturing for me to sit in the booth at the back of the coffee shop with him.
"Go get em' tiger" Linda laughed as I rolled my eyes.

"Well this is it" I stopped infront of my house. It looked smaller on the outside compared to how big it was on the inside.
"It's cute" Harry added before I unlocked the front door with my spare key.
Harry and I had talked at the coffee shop for at least an hour before he insisted to take me to a movie, I denied the first 3 times he asked me, but he wouldn't give up so I finally gave in.
"You stay here, I'll be right back" i instructed, leaving him alone in the living room while I went to change.
I slipped on my skinny jeans and peeled off my hoodie, leaving me in only my bra as I rummaged through my drawers, trying desperately to find a suitable top.
"Umm..." I heard a voice come from the doorway.
"What the hell, Harry!" I ran to my bedroom door slamming it in his face before he could stare any longer at my bare upper half.
"Sorry, I couldn't figure out how to work the remote" I scoffed at his stupidity.
"Nice bra, by the way" I could basically hear his cheeky smile as he talked on the opposite side of the door.
"Oh my God" I blushed shaking my head.
