𝑁o one's ever alone. Not all the time. Two years ago, Blair lost her twin brother. No one knows why. One day Blair woke up and her twin was gone. No trace of him left. Except one of Blair's photos was taken down from her photo wall, the only photo of her and her twin. That was when she realised he had ran away. Taken everything he needed and left. Now, that's not what this chapter is about.
Every night, Blair and her friends would take shifts on going down town and along the streets of where Blair's twin use to hang out with some of his friends. And it just so happens to be that on Blair's shift, a person is waiting for her down on Hall St. Blair walked down the streets with her hands in the pockets of her white hoodie. If you lived in one of the apartments along those streets - or at least near them - you'd hear a subtle little name being called every now and again.
Blair made it to Hall St. She walked down the street slowly scrolling through her phone. Before she could look up, her head collided with another. She looked up immediately, stumbling back a few feet.
"I'm so sorry," she exclaimed, dusting herself off. "I couldn't be any more of a klutz." She scoffed at herself. Eventually she looked up at what appeared to be an old man.
"Don't be sorry. Now, let's have a bit of fun..." the man grasped Blair by the wrist and smiled, starting to drag her. Blair flicked her wrist up and gave a hard punch to the guys head. If it wasn't for self defence classes, that man wouldn't be passed out on the bitumen. She stood over the body, longingly staring at what she knew was the rapist the nightly news was talking about. She kicked his arm a few times, then stared at it again. Then kicked it again, then stared. Then kicked, then stared. Kicked and stared, kicked and stared. I think you get it by now. This went or for about three minutes to be approximate.
"She knocked him out!" A voice called. Blair stumbled back and fell as the group of four boys stood in front of her.
"Ow, my ass." Two of the boys laughed while another stood there investigating the body that lied before them and the other held out his hand for Blair so she could get to her feet again. Blair pulled herself up and thanked the tall boy.
"Just one question..." the group turned their attention to Blair. "Who are you guys?" She questioned, motioning to each of the people in front of her. They made a little huddle with each other for a minute or two.
-
"Do we tell her?" Journey asked. He scanned each one of his friends' faces. Ryder made a discussed face.
"Are you crazy?! What if she turns us into the police!" He whisper-yelled. Toby stepped on his foot causing his to tripped slightly.
"Ouch?!"
"I mean, I think it would better to even invite her in. She knocked out our target, she's just what we need!" Toby considered. Journey and Hunter nodded, thinking the same thing. Ryder glared at Toby as if he was the worst person in the world, well in Ryder's case, he was right now to him. Ryder scoffed, not bothering to argue with his leader because he knows it never ends well for him.
"Plus, she's kinda cute?" Journey shrugged, making his friends chuckle at him.
"Aight, bet." Toby broke the huddle and walked up to Blair, who was standing there very quietly. The four boys surrounded the space in front of her.
"We are the town gang...we kill people who basically don't deserve to live. Such as murderers, criminals, abusers, sex offenders-"
"Okay she gets it, chatterbox." Journey interrupted him with a smirk. Toby scoffed at him and turned back to the honey blonde girl.
"We want you in our gang." Toby summed it down.
"What? No, no. Not the offer for me." Blair shook her head.
"C'mon. We saw what you did with that guy, and he was our target! The town rapist! We need you on the team. Whatever it takes." Journey spoke up. Ryder and Hunter stayed quiet. Blair thought for a moment.
"Whatever it takes, huh?" The group nodded. "Well then...if I join your gang, my friends are coming with me." Blair stood her final offer. Blair did everything with Gabriella and Kyra. They were the only people she could really trust after her twin disappeared that Autumn day. The group went into thought for a moment.
"Alright, I guess we could make an exception." Toby nodded.
-
After a few arrangements such as the time of their first day, how they're going to leave their families (considering they're never going back) and what they need, Blair set on her way back home to tell her friends and explain to them what they were in for, and they gladly agreed with their offer. As soon as Blair woke up, '4:00 am...great.' She thought. She rushed to get her suitcase and everything she needed and met one of the gang members on the corner of her block. Surprisingly, it was the tallest boy who she never got the name of - she never got the name of any of the boys - but he didn't have a mask on this time.
"I never really caught your name, I'm Blair, Blair Darling." She smiled. The boy looked shocked for a second, but gained himself again.
"Um, I'm Journey, Journey King." He smiled back.As they were walking to the girls' new home, Blair and Journey met up with her other friends. It didn't take long to arrive at, what looked like a shed, home. Journey knocked three times.
"Password." A low voice called from the other side of the door.
"It's me, dumbass." Journey scoffed.
"Alright then bossy boots." It was quite obvious by now that the boys loved to hate on each other at times. Once everyone was in the main room, a boy with curly hair spoke up.
"Welcome girls. I'm Toby Maidum," he gestured to himself. "This is Journey King," he pointed to the boy they already knew, who gave them all another warm smile. "This is Hunter Lebon," he pointed to a dark brown haired boy, he smiled and quickly moved closer to Journey, being the shy one he is. "And this is Ryder Darling." He pointed to the last boy. All three girls stopped and glared at Ryder. Ryder looked at Toby as if he was the dumbest person in the world, which in this case, he once again was.
"You really had to say my last name, didn't you?"
"Ryder?"
