Why me? (Demi Lovato Adoption Story)

Chapter 5

Demi's POV:

So today is the day i bring Taylor home with me.

I actually have a surprise for Jessie as well.

When i got to the orphanage, i told Taylor to start packing.

When Taylor started to pack, i went to talk to Jess.

"Hey Jess!" i said cheerfully

"Hi." she said sounding upset

"What's wrong?" i asked

"Today is the day i lose my best friend." she said tearing up

I went to comfort her

"That's actually what i came to talk to you about." i said smiling

"What, did you come to rub it in that you get my best friend now?" she rolled her eyes

"No. I came to ask if you wanted me to adopt the both of you?" i asked hopeful

"Really!? If this is a joke it's not funny! Don't fuck with me Lovato!" she shouted

"No this is not a joke. I really want the both of you." i said laughing at her reaction

"Oh my god! Thank you Demi! Thank you Thank you Thank you!!!" she jumped up and hugged me

"You're Welcome" i hugged back

"Now start packing Missy! We have to leave soon and Taylor is probably half way done." i said laughing still

"Okay!" she said still smiling like an idiot

Now to try and hide this from Taylor till we leave for LA.

Taylor's POV: 

I just finished packing. Then i went to bathroom to collect my things from there.

When i got into the bathroom, i remembered one thing. My blade.

I quickly put it in the bottom of my bag so i wouldn't do anything.

I wonder where Demi went. Oh well, she'll be back. Right?

What if she changed her mind? What if she doesn't want me anymore? What if she left me here?

"DEMI!?" i called out

"Yeah?" she shouted from across the hall. 

I sighed in relief. Oh thank god! I thought she left.

"Never mind!" i shouted back

"Ok." she shouted again

Jessie's POV:

So i finally got all of my stuff packed and ready to go.

"Oh, don't tell Taylor that you're coming with us. I want it to be a surprise." Demi said as she walked out

"Alright." i nodded

 Demi's POV:

So i just told Jess about adopting her as well. She took it extremely well which i am happy about.

I started to walk back to Taylor's room when i tripped on the rug.

"God Damn it! Why am i such a cluts." i mumbled 

"Demi? Was that you that made that bumping noise?" Taylor said walking towards me as i stood up

"Yeah. I tripped on the rug." i pouted

"Well, are you alright?" she asked

"Yeah i'm fine. Are you ready to go?" 

"Yeah, lets go!" she smiled

We started walking down the hall when she stopped dead in her tracks 

"WAIT! I HAVE TO GO SAY GOODBYE TO JESSIE!" she shouted

"Ok. I will bring your stuff to the car." i replied trying to hold back my smile

Taylor's POV: 

I can't believe i almost forgot to say goodbye to my best friend!

"JESS!?" i shouted

"In here." she said from inside our room

I ran in and tackled her in a tight hug

"Well, i guess this means you're leaving?" she sighed

"Yeah." i whispered tearing up

"Hey hey hey, don't cry." she said wiping my tears away

"I'm sorry. I'm just really upset that i have to leave you." i cried

"It's ok. I'm sure Demi will let you come back and visit." she reassured

"Yeah, i guess. Well, i have to go now. Demi's waiting in the car." i sighed

I tried to smile but i just couldn't.

"Why are you so upset? You're being adopted by Demi Lovato!" she said smiling

"I know. But i don't want to leave you. You are the reason that i'm still alive. You're my sister." i sighed

"I know, but i want you to try and be happy ok. For me. For Demi. For YOU." she said sadly

"Okay. I'll try." i said standing up

"Okay. I love you boo." Jess said as she gave me another big hug

"I love you too." i said hugging back

Jessie's POV:

I tried so hard not to smile as she left. Cause if she turned around, she would think that i was happy that she was "leaving" me.

"Bye." i called out

"Bye." she called back

Now to see her reaction when i climb into the car with her
