(A/N: this may or may not make sense.)

"Alli, Alli, Alli fatty!" the group of girls chanted. I wasn't fat. I just had chubby cheeks. I whispered, "Stop saying that." The girls laughed loudly and pointed their fingers to me, The boys of the class started making their way over to me, seeing the loud ruckus the other girls were making.

I shifted my feet. I made sure my jet black hair covered enough of my face view, so that they won't see my tears.

I was human like them too. What did I do to deserve this?

"Hey guys, look! The ching chong asian is crying!" one of the boys teased, joy etching his face.

I knew I didn't deserve this.

"Stop it," I said louder, clenching my fists. They all simply laughed. Laughed. What was so funny about a little girl crying?

Miss Collins walked into class and witnessed the scene. She picked up the nearest book, slamming it against her wooden desk. "Enough, children! Back to your seats. Stop picking on Alice or I will personally send you to the principal's." she hollered, steam almost shooting out of her ears.

"Thank you," I replied, very softly.

I was crying again. The other children wouldn't stop bullying me. I was also, apparently, dirtying my precious mother's sofa.

Daddy walked into the living room and saw my sobs. He told me, "Put on your coat, let's go out somewhere." I did as I was told immediately. Daddy drove his car towards a snowy open field and let me out. He held my hand, telling me, "Do you see the snow Alli?"

"Yes-s, o-of course." I choked out. He said, "Catch it." I blinked at him. Catch snow?

I silently stuck my hand out, waiting for the snow to fall onto my palm. "The snow is the bullies. They are everywhere. They are waiting and waiting for you, Alli, to fight back, to catch them. But remember, once you try to catch them, you never will. They will continue to wait for you, continue to tease and torture you. However, if you patiently wait for them, not caring what they do," Daddy explained, "they will become desperate. They will fall into your palm. They will catch you, not the other way around. And when they do, they will melt."

I understood what he was saying. I shouldn't retaliate.

"You see, Alli, you don't catch the snow. You let the snow catch you."
