From 4.23 - Graduation: In Steven's Quarry, Stefan and Alex stood on the cliff over the waterfall.

Silas looked at Stefan. "Hello, my shadow-self."

Silas and Draco put Stefan into the safe, smirking, locking Stefan inside, tipping it over the edge. The safe fell over the edge of the water fall, sinking into the quarry.

Stefan: (voice over from 5.07 Death of Ages) "Every Time I close my eyes, I can feel myself drowning."

From 5.07 - Death of Ages: In Stefan's room, Stefan and Alex were talking.

"And I need to make it stop," Stefan told her.

"Silas and Draco made me their slave, Stefan," Alex told them. "Silas made me think he was you. He made me think that I was in love with him just to keep me under his control. He used, manipulated, lied and made me do everything that he said."

"Then let me kill Silas," Stefan told her. "Let the others help us kill Rosalita, Cassius, Azalea, Ovisona and Draco."

From 5.08 - Dead Man On Campus: Outside the Grill, Stefan and Alex were talking.

Alex smiled a small smile, putting a hand on his cheek. "You're Stefan Salvatore. Suck it up."

From 5.08 - Dead Man On Campus: In the Town Square, Katherine stood on the clock tower. She turned her back to the edge, letting herself free-fall from the tall tower toward the ground below.

Katherine: (voice over from 5.08 - Dead Man On Campus) "My body's breaking down. There's one enemy that I can never escape. Time. Goodbye."

Katherine opened her eyes to find out she was still alive, in Nathan's arms. She pushed her way out of them.

"What the hell are you doing?" Nathan asked.

"I'm dying of old age," Katherine told him.

"You've been through worse," Nathan told her. "You can get through this."

From 5.07 - Death of Ages: In the parlor of the Hunter House, Ryan and Lindsey were having a moment.

Ryan reached out to Lindsey's cheek. Lindsey reached up to Ryan's hand on her cheek, and both were stunned and relieved when they could both feel the touch.

"I can feel you," Ryan told her.

Lindsey gasped happily in relief. "I can feel you."

Instantly, Lindsey and Ryan embraced, holding each other close, close to crying tears of joy and relief, happily reunited in life, kissing passionately, more passionate than ever before, like it was the first or the last time.

From 5.08 - Dead Man On Campus: In the park, Eliza and Jeremy were arguing.

"I might not be able to put up as good of a fight as all of you supernaturals, and I'll lose most fights, but that won't stop me from doing what I can to make sure that I, and the people around me, stay safe," Eliza told him. "Even if it means killing the monsters that come for us and hurt us in ways unimaginable. Sorry if that ruins the perfect pure, snow white image of me that you have."

From 5.08 - Dead Man On Campus: At Whitmore while Eliza was party planning, Kol appeared as a ghost to talk to her, sitting on a table.

Eliza sighed heavily. "Don't pretend like this isn't because you saw my fight with my boyfriend earlier."
