𝙒𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚'𝙨 𝙢𝙮 𝙃𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙮 𝙀𝙣𝙙 ? |Arranged marriage| 𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗘𝗞𝗢𝗢𝗞

2: 𝙾𝙽𝙻𝚈 𝙾𝚅𝙴𝚁 𝙼𝚈 𝙳𝙴𝙰𝙳 𝙱𝙾𝙳𝚈

Chaeyoung went down for dinner. Mr. Son was reading the newspaper, Mrs. Son was on a phone call and Jihyo was sitting at the other side of the table.
Great another typical Son "family" dinner.

Jihyo noticed her presence, came over with her plate and sat down beside her.

"How is my little baby beast doing?"- she asked.

"I'm so tired and I still have a whole chapter to learn for tomorrow. To be honest if it wasn't for dad's announcement I would have stayed upstairs."- Chaeyoung complained.

"That's right. It has to be something really important if he gathers the whole family together."-Jihyo scoffed.

At the same moment their mom finished her phone call and sat down in front of Chaeyoung .

"Chaeyoung my dear, how was your day ?"

"It was alright. Just the usual things you know."

She just nodded and they remained silent waiting for their Mr. Son to say something.

"Eomma! My day was amazing. I had a photoshoot for Channel and signed a new contract. Thanks for asking by the way."-Jihyo exclaimed.

"Son Jihyo! Respect your mother or else you will have to leave but if guess you want to hear what I what I have to say so...Keep quiet ! "- Mr. Son said while putting the newspaper away.

Jihyo just rolled her eyes and remained silent.

"As you know, the company is very successful, but we can't just rely on the current success, we have to ensure its future. Well see the CEO of the big Starlight company is a good old friend of mine and he happens to be looking for someone for his son, to ensure his descendance and the future of his company...-

"Dad, could you just go straight to the point?!"-Jihyo said annoyed.

"So, after multiple reflections and talks we decided... -he took a deep breath-

We decided that you are getting married."

Did I just hear correctly?! Who is getting married??

"Chaeyoung you will get married to Jeon Jungkook"- he announced.

Jihyo choked on her food and Chaeyoung sat there in daze, not understanding what just happened.

"What...I...NO!"
She took a deep breath
"Mom, Dad since I was little I've always obeyed your rules and orders. I've always done my best to please you...but no I- I can't and won't marry a stranger just for your benefits"- Chaeyoung said in shock.

It was actually the first time she stood up against her parents.

"Chaeyoung...- he sighed
We've invested everything into this company and sacrificed a lot to come where we are now. Becoming partners with the Starlight company would be the achievement of this journey. I mean, we would then become one and only family. You wouldn't even have to take over the company since both company would fuse together and be run by Jungkook. And only imagine how much publicity-"

"I don't want to !"- Chaeyoung protested.

"Darling...you know it isn't that bad. I even heard Jeon Jungkook is the most handsome guy ever", Mrs. Son said trying to reassure her.

You heard?? Is this some kind of joke?! My own parents are willing to marry me off to some rich guy they haven't even met yet?!!

"Are you kidding me?! I've heard enough !"- Jihyo said while standing up.

"I always knew you two are incredibly selfish and control freaks but to come to an edge where you even marry off your daughter to some rich jerk you don't even know...Wow."- she said clapping her hands sarcastically.
"Did you even bother to ask yourselves how Chaeyoung would feel ?!"

"Jihyo stay out of this nobody asked for your opinion !"- Mr. Son yelled angrily.

"Hahaha...I think you haven't noticed that in this family no one asks for anyone's opinion...they just act !"- Jihyo said laughing.
"You know what?! You can do anything you want but I won't let you people make Chaeyoung marry this Jeon Wounkook or whatever he's called ! "

"Son Jihyo ! You have nothing to say in this matter !"- he shouted at her.

Jihyo stood up in front of him.

"Let me tell you something...I SON JIHYO won't let this happen. ONLY OVER MY DEAD BODY MY SISTER WILL MARRY THAT GUY !"- Jihyo screamed.

PAFFFFF

Mr. Son stood up and slapped Jihyo and she fell on the floor.
Chaeyoung immediately rushed over to her.

"Are you alright??", Chaeyoung asked worried.

"Yeah don't worry it's not a little slap that is going to-"

"ENOUGH ! JIHYO I've had enough of your nonsense. I've tolerated your behavior for to long now. I won't let you ruin your sister's life like yours and mess up this family!", he yelled at her.
"I'm going to send you to Japan to live there with your uncle and cousin Momo. Maybe you will come back to your senses there."

Chaeyoung's heart dropped. He couldn't do that. Jihyo was everything she had (with Dahyun obviously). He couldn't just take her away from her.

"Dad, no please don't do that. I beg you !"- Chaeyoung plead and started to cry.

"No Chaeyoung. She caused already enough trouble for this family. Give me one good reason why I shouldn't send her away !"- Mr. Son shouted.

...

"I- I...I will marry Jeon Jungkook !"
