seulgi's equipped with enough iced coffees for everyone at the shoot, yet she's nervous. jaebeom always extended an invitation to come and watch his photoshoots, but she's always declined because she doesn't want to be judged. jaebeom's one of the hottest models right now, with four cover shoots this year alone under his belt. while seulgi... is just a freelance artist who has an online shop. she doesn't feel like she measures up to his success, and she doesn't want people to pick that apart. but... this time, jaebeom insisted, claimed he wasn't taking no for an answer, and really wanted her to be there.
she shuffles in as quietly as she can, though that's not hard with the music blasting and the shutter of the camera while the photographer calls out compliments. she pauses, sneaking glances at jaebeom as he works. so handsome, she thinks to herself. his manager, mark, sees her first, getting out of his seat behind a monitor and walking over to help her. "i didn't want to come empty handed." seulgi whispers as mark leads her to the snack table to place the drinks.
"we appreciate it, he'll be happy to see you, especially because we had a late start so the shoot will run further into the night than we planned."
"oh? does beom know that?" seulgi wonders and mark winces, so she'll take that as a no.
"come sit behind the monitor, he's almost done with this first set of photos." mark replies instead as seulgi grabs her milk tea and follows him, taking a seat.
it's an entirely new environment than what she's used to. she's used to her studio at home, surrounded by her own mixed media, bent over a desk and drawing until her hand cramps. she's not used to bright lights, makeup, hair, expensive clothing and jewelry. despite all of that, she appreciates the art form, and she really likes seeing her boyfriend in his element. some of these photos, however, have her feeling breathless. jaebeom's gaze is intense at times, and it leaves her feeling fuzzy because people are getting a glimpse of a jaebeom that's usually reserved only for her. she hears the photographer say that they are done with this set, and time to move on to the next styling.
jaebeom walks over, a small smile coming to his lips at mark, but it grows when he sees seulgi. "hey..." he greets, walking over and giving her a hug as she stands to properly greet him. "i'm glad you're here."
"i'm happy to be here." she admits, running her hands down his arms as he steals her tea and takes a sip.
"should we get dinner after? turn this into a date night?"
"it might be too late for dinner... mark said the shoot is going to run later because you all started late..." she breaks it to him gently, and watches jaebeom's eyes widen a bit before he just nods.
"got it." he hands the cup back to her, "i have to change."
"i'll be here."
"kiss me." jaebeom comments, puckering his lips and seulgi stands on her tiptoes, kissing him quickly. "i'll see you in a bit."
