LadyNoir: The Reveal Part Two
It was a little bit past six, and the heroes were on patrol. A bit of yelling was heard from below, and Ladybug knew that this would mean an akuma attack. So, she leapt to the highest building and looked around. She spotted an akuma flying towards the upset person below and quickly captured it and cleansed it before it wreaked havoc on the city.
What is this? Where is my akuma? Thought Hawkmoth.
He released another akuma. Ladybug cleansed it and leapt forward to be closer to where they were coming from.
Soon, she was right in front of the Agreste’s mansion.
But, Adrien is Chat. So that means…Gabriel! I should have guessed.
She snuck into the mansion, through Adrein’s open window. She knew Adrien wasn’t home, because he was on patrol as Chat.
She could use this opportunity to investigate.
Ladybug was being as stealthy as she could be, and the fact that no one was in sight made it easier for her. The only thing was that Hawkmoth could release akumas and she won’t be able to cleanse them. But on the bright side, she could get rid of Hawkmoth once and for all.
She was in Gabriel’s office. She had been in there a few times so she knew how to get there. She was snooping around with books and the painting, and all of a sudden, she was taken through the trap-like door.
“Hawkmoth!” Ladybug snarled, gritting her teeth.
“Ladybug! You found me. Well, this could work out. I could easily take your miraculous”. Gabriel chuckled.
“Not a chance, Hawkmoth. I’m gonna have your miraculous! Now, where is it?” Ladybug yelled.
“Take a guess”. Hawkmoth smiled.
The only piece of jewellery on him was a pin that looked a bit like a bowtie.
It was either that or his cane.
Ladybug couldn’t take any chances. She threw her yoyo and grabbed his cane, snapping it in two.
Now, he couldn’t make any more akumas.
She did a turn in the air and removed his pin, watching as he slowly de-transformed.
“I win, Hawkmoth. Now, are you gonna tell me why you’ve been doing all this?” Ladybug raised an eyebrow.
Gabriel sighed. “My wife. I wanted to destroy this world and create a new one where everyone was safe and, where my wife was alive. So, I got others to do it for me.”
“Oh. That isn’t a real excuse, but I understand. Well, now I’ll be off”. Said Ladybug as she left the mansion.
She detransformed when she got to the Guardian’s place.
“Ladybug. I was expecting you”. Said Master Fu.
“Master, I have found the lost miraculous. I defeated Hawkmoth”. She held out the miraculous.
“Thank you, Marinette. Now, there is no need for the miraculouses”. He smiled.
Marinette winced. “Do I have to give Tikki back? Now that there’s no Hawkmoth?”
“I’m sorry, Marinette. But now you can live your normal life”.
“Okay. But there is one thing I have to do first.” Marinette ran out of the Guardians dwelling, and transformed.
She had to get Paris to know that Hawkmoth had been defeated and his miraculous was safely locked away.
She went straight to Alya’s house.
“Alya! I need you to tell everyone who sees the lady blog to go to the Eiffel tower, right now! I have something very important to do”. Ladybug said to her best friend, then hopping away.
“Milady. I’ve been looking for you. I” Ladybug cut Chat off.
“I defeated Hawkmoth. I have to tell every Parisian that they are now safe. C’mon. I’m heading to the TV station”. Ladybug explained as they flew through the skies of Paris.
Once they found Nadja, they told her to get to the Eiffel tower ASAP.
And they made their ways to the Eiffel tower in silence.
“People of Paris! I have very important news for you”. Ladybug waited for their reactions, “I have singlehandedly defeated hawk Moth when Chat and I were on patrol. I bet you’re all glad to hear that. And, Chat Noir and I will be revealing our identities to all of you”.
“Did you really have to say you did it on your own, Ladybug?” Chat sighed.
Ladybug rolled her eyes. She didn’t have the time for this.
Great. She’s ignoring me now. I mean, I really messed up, but still. Cut me some slack. I didn’t have human interaction until I started public school. Chat thought.
“Tikki, spots off”. Marinette whispered, and the whole of Paris watched in awe as their favourite super heroine showed them who she really was.
“What?! Marinette DuPain Cheng is Ladybug???!!!” Chloe shrieked.
“Claws in, Plagg”, Chat sighed.
“Adrien is Chat Noir??!! Daddy, carry me”. Chloe wailed.
“We just found out who our heroes are. Does this mean that this would be the last time we will ever see them?” Nadja asked.
“Exactly so, Nadja. There is no need for us to be heroes anymore and tonight, our miraculouses will be taken by the guardian”. Marinette smiled.
“What?!” a puzzled chat Noir yelled. “I can’t give away my miraculous! Please take me to the guardian, Marinette”.
“I’m sorry, Adrien. But I do not want to be involved with you for the time being. I’m putting my foot down”. Marinette said.
“Your foot was already down, but whatever”. Adrien trailed off, making his way down the tower.
Marinette followed suite, but in the opposite direction.
Now there would be no more akumas and Paris would be safe.
