{13} Building Trust

It had been a few weeks since I had told Jimin about what happened. Jimin and I have been fine, slowly rebuilding our relationship. Hobi seemed to keep his distance from everyone. I'd smile at him and I'd get nothing in return. He looked like he was carrying all the guilt and sorrow on his shoulders and it broke my heart that he wouldn't talk to anyone. Even Yoongi tried.

"Hobi? Want to practice?" I heard Yoongi say.

"No," He shrugged. "Not in the mood, Thanks though." His voice was always mono-toned. He would live in baggy clothes and would barely eat. I was starting to worry that Jimin and his friendship ending had really affected him. 

"Hey babe?" I walked up behind Jimin, hugging him. 

"Hey, princess," He turned and smiled. "What can I do for you?"

"I know you probably don't want to talk about it but-"

"You're worried about Hoseok?" He said. "I know baby but it's none of our business,"

"But it is Jimin," I whine, "I'm worried about his mental health,"

"His what?" Jimin scoffed, "There's nothing wrong with his mental health."

"Like you'd know," I scoff back, "He barely eats and he doesn't do any of the stuff he used to love doing. When was the last time you saw him dance?" Jimin's lips parted slightly, almost as if he was shocked by my response.

"Well, I-"

"Exactly," I stepped back. "You've got to spend time with him."

"Why me?" 

"Because you're the reason he feels like this," I pause. I shouldn't have said that. I shouldn't have blamed him. "No, it's not you're fault, I'm sorry baby." I soften my voice a  little. "Look, baby, I just think you should spend a little time with him, I think he could really use it right now." I smile, hoping that he will just give it a go. 

"You know what," Jimin smiles down at me, "I think I should make the effort and maybe give him a chance to rebuild the trust he broke." He chuckled before kissing my forehead.  Not quite the response I was looking for but a response that will work.

(Jimin's POV)

I can't believe she's making me so this. What does she expect me to do? Take him on a date? No way am I doing this. To be honest, Hosoek has been looking a little sad lately so maybe I'll plan something? I'll figure it out.

"Yo, Hobi!" I approach him hoping that he'll cheer up when  I get close to him. Hobi flinched when he heard my voice.

"O-oh hey Jimin," He looked nervous, almost scared of me. 

"You busy today?" I lean on the counter next to him, as I watch his body stiffen next to me.

"N-no, just cleaning... planning stuff," Hobi mumbled. 

"Cool we're doing something today then. Me and You."

"What?!" He looked horrified. "What do you mean?"

"We're gonna do something fun today!" I smile hoping that he'd say no. "You've been looking a little glum lately," I throw my arm over his shoulders hugging him tightly. "So, I thought-"

"Y/n sent you to me didn't she." He said bluntly. 

"How did you know?"

"You haven't spoken to me in almost a month, I've seen the way she looks at me. With pity." He scoffs. "I get you're mad at me and you don't trust me anymore but don't fucking pity me."

"I didn't realize you felt that way-"

"Yeah, no one does."

"Look, I just wanted to give you the opportunity to rebuild the trust you broke," I smile, "It's up to,"

"Fine," He looks over to me, "What did you have planned?"

"I didn't have anything planned..." I laugh nervously. Hobi stares blankly at me.

"Right," He looks down, "Maybe, we could-"

"Hey, guys!" Jungkook bounces over, "Planning something fun?" He grins.

"I mean we were trying to, what to come with us?" I offer, "We were trying to find something to do but-" 

"What about rock-climbing?" Hobi mumbles.

"Oooh~" Jungkook hums. "That would be so fun! Let's do it!" 

Oh boy.
