Some of the live studio audience is having lock jaw or stiff neck due to the tetanus they got from the barbwire wrist bands. Well at least they are grinning from ear to ear now.

The Awesome Law of Gestation

From its name, what comes to mind when you hear the word gestation?
Well Auntie Wiki told me that it is the time when a fetus is carried inside a mother. For humans it is 9 months.
Everything takes time to develop. Success does not happen overnight. Remember Law of attraction? Let say you tried but after a few months or years you give up and say “it is not working”. It is working the problem is that some things need time to fully manifest into reality.
Farmers know that after planting, they are not expecting it would be harvest time right away. They wait knowing that it is surely coming. Same with our dreams, when we start dreaming, we plants the seeds of our dreams on the soil of our hard work. You don’t ask an apple tree you planted yesterday, “Have you grown already? “
When your dreams have not been fulfilled despite all your efforts in attracting them, don’t despair. The longer it takes for it to come, the more special it is when it arrives.
Castles are not made overnight. It is the same with success. Don’t let your dreams die. Always have hope so you can protect them from dying. Be patient, God is preparing something beyond your imagination.
Have you ever seen a woman who after 4 months raises their hands and say “I don’t think the baby is coming”? Nope?
And I’m sure that same woman would not say to the baby on her womb, “Come out already you little pipsqueak”
Excited or she just doesn't know it takes 9 months before the baby goes out?
But we know and so, when we are expecting a baby, we are not impatient knowing it will come after 9 months. In fact at around 4 months, we start buying baby clothes and a crib. We start wondering what name we will give to the baby. We do this because we have faith it will come in 9 months’ time.
We should treat our dreams the same way. Dreaming is like going through pregnancy. We must prepare for it inside our heart and minds every day. We should welcome it. Give it a name. Create a space for it. Speak to it. Care for it and letting it develop at its own rhythm (law of rhythm remember?)
And sometimes the best thing to do is to leave it alone and let the law of gestation do its magic
Now let us relate this to our finances
Remember the time when we started with our jobs? I’m sure some of you felt frustrated because your income is barely enough to make ends meet. But as years go by and we gain better earning opportunities, our income also increases.
You were patient enough to work each day and give it your best in the fulfilment of your dreams. Slowly but surely, your income grows. And sometimes you have to work a lot because if you don’t, bills would pile up.
Now how many paychecks has it been since your 1st? Imagine if you gave up on the 1st month because you got tired of waiting.
Success also has a gestation period. If you follow all the rules and not go to any shortcuts like lying or stealing, then your success won’t be far behind.
Some of you here are complaining that success hasn’t arrived yet. Instead, think of every day that passes bring you closer to that Success you are yearning for.
So be patient, I hope you did not do anything illegal that would get you in trouble.
There is another name for this law; sometimes it is called divine timing. Everything happens when the right time comes. Just like the coming and going of seasons. The moon does not rise at noon by accident.
Most of the time, we give up when we are so close to our goal. Not knowing that if only we waited a bit more, we would already have it. I was guilty of this; I went from one business to another. I was in a hurry; I didn’t know that success takes time.
And so I lost a lot of money, and I’m still in debt right now. But now I’m bouncing back and I know it isn’t going to be alright instantly.
In darkest moment of my life, I simply choose not to give up. I had so many failures but I’m still got my God given talents to bring me to that success I yearned for. I know my success will come when I am fully ready to embrace it.
For me all the hardships and failures I went through are blessings because God wants me to be truly rich, rich with the love of friends and family.
So if you too are struggling right now, smile because the best yet to come. God is preparing your beautiful tomorrow.
