Chapter 3 : Drama in the building

The next couple of days, the whole gang was wary and were working hard while training. To Skye it was funny, she knew that would have been the reaction. But she practiced too. Her studying sessions were all cancelled by Brian and she started missing her friend, but she knew she had to obey him.

Her back hit the yellow mat again and she groaned rolling over.

"Fuck Tristan can't you go easy on me?" She asked her training buddy and he smirked, his full lips teasing.

"Please, you are in the Hall of Fame and you want me to go easy on you? You have the reflexes of a vampire, the muscles of a... Yeah I got nothing." She chuckled and in seconds his body was on the mat with her on top. He groaned and touched his forehead.

"Rule number one: Never lose focus." Her soft voice told him and she tried getting up, but he flipped their bodies over.

"I know all the rules sweety. You and your little Seducer tricked me."

"How did I trick you? I just asked you to be more gentle. And get off me." She pointed out, wriggling beneath him. He only chuckled, pinning her down.

"No, you distracted me with those questions and plus kept on groaning. It could've been misunderstood as sexual sounds."

"What? I was in pain.. You slammed my head roughly." He shifted on top of her getting comfortable, yet she was in a lot of pain. After all Tristan was a very built man and his body wasn't the lightest really. She groaned in pain and the door swung open revealing a furious Brian.

"What are you two doing?" They looked at him and then at each other bursting in laughter. "It's not funny we could hear you two groaning from the room at the end of the hall!" They laughed louder now and Brian was losing his patience. "Skye, I don't know how you got your Cold Blooded title but I'm going to make sure you lose it!" Something snapped in her and in three seconds she had Tristan fighting for air on the mat where she was seconds ago and Brian was against the wall with her arm pushing on his throat. Her eyes were golden as usual but this time a strange coldness was there too and Brian couldn't put his finger on it but he knew that her Cold Blooded will be out to play most of the time now.

"Touch my title and you're a goner."She growled lowly and for a second fear was in his eyes before it vanished and he nodded shortly. She let him go and stood by the window calming her Cold Blooded down. Tristan groaned and got up.

She was extremely defensive when it came to all her titles. After all,she worked hard for them and one mistake won't ruin it all.

"Wow. At least now I know why everyone respects you. And fears you." She ignored his statement turning around.

"Are you okay?"She asked him remembering his struggle just moments ago.

"Yeah, anyway that was awesome! It was like it took you a second to kick me off and get to Brian! Hey, you maybe are a vampire! That would be so cool!" He rambled on and she caught him in a head lock, rubbing her knuckles against his scalp roughly. They pushed each other the whole way to the dining room. He ended up giving her a piggy back ride to the rooms and they laughed the whole way up.

When they separated and she entered her room, a guest was there. An unwanted, unexpected guest.

"May I help you?" She puts the Gamer out, pushing the Cold Blooded further away.

"Oh, of course not. I'm here to help you

After all, you would think that you would welcome your Best Friend with wide arms." He says and she realises that his Seducer is out, as is hers.

"Caden, it is time to stop playing games. When will you learn to do as you're said?" She provokes him. She knew the consequences if he went over the edge. Serious physical damage and series of mental problems.

Yet she couldn't force herself to stop. She couldn't, wouldn't stop. After all he deserved that and so much more.

"No need for sassy words, I know what you're trying to do. I missed you, you know." He was now approaching her and she sucked in a deep breath as he twirled a strand of her hair. "Your lips on mine. Your beautiful honey scent. Your soft curls. Your sweet words." With every sentence he would pause and she craved him more by seconds.

They were never friends. No, they were more than that. More than you could even imagine.

"Your long legs around my waist. Your hands in my hair. Your heart that belonged to me." The last one got her heart rate to speed up. Her heart still belonged to him. Even after two years. "I miss you. The whole of you. I miss you, S. I miss you." He repeated one last time and then left her, jumping out of her window.

He always did that. He played with her emotions and then left her to tame her feelings. She knew he missed her. She missed him too.

Every fucking day. She would always get up, see his picture, close her eyes for a couple of seconds and just go on with her day.

It hurt to see him back. After all, he wasn't even supposed to be alive. She found it fascinating that he survived.

She striped and put on her short sleep-dress, getting into the big bed and drifting away with the thoughts of Caden swarming in her brain.
