Miranda's Point of View:

I was just a little girl, just 9 almost turning 10. I was walking down this rugged velvet path, it was a funeral for one of my grandma's friend. I was holding hands with my grandma to walk up to the corpse. Everytime I'm near my grandma I feel so safe, it's like she's a secert angel that's watching over me. I stood in front of the man that took care of me when I was a baby (My grandpa) now he's laying peacefully inside the coffin. He had a suit and tie, his hair was comb back, and he looked like he was peacefully in heaven. My grandma escorted me to an empty seat between her friends and I sat down.

I observed the funeral home, it was decorated with lavender flowers. Fine white silk curtains were gliding along the windows like flock of birds. The place was indeed beautiful, but in a strange way. I noticed many people were standing in front of their family members, but they didn't seem to noticed they were talking to them. I turned my head and there he was, my grandpa, the man that was in the coffin was sitting right next to me? I was shocked!

He smiled and looked at his carcass.

"Grandma?" I said

"It's all right honey." She said calmly.

Grandpa turned to me and said,

"You and your grandma are the only one who can see me. Will you help me?"

I smiled and nodded my head.

He said "There's a diamond necklace I bought for your grandma, it was suppose to be our anniversary today, but unfortunately...... I ......, tears started flowing down his eyes,

He continued, " It's inside her coat pocket right now, can you tell her that?"

"Of course Grandpa, I gladly wiped off my tears."

Grandma looked wrecked, she was crying softly into her hands.

"Grandma?"

"Yes Honey?"

"Reach into your coat pockets, there's a surprise for you Grandma."

As she reached into her pocket, Grandpa appeared in front of us and got on his knees, Grandma putted her hand on her mouth and started crying. Grandpa smiled, he told her something, but I couldn't quite hear what he's saying.

What he said was:

"I want you to keep on having a glass of champagne on every Saturday night, like we used to do, I want you to light the candles and firepkaxe, like we always do and make a secret toast to the gorgeous shining stars"

He got up on his legs and kissed me on my forehead and walked to his coffin, he gave us one last wave, then disappeared into the air.

Grandma and I smiled lightly while having tears rolled down our face, she holded my hand and told me how I will understand how spirit works along the journey.
