Rememberence

It has been three days since our daring attempt at the seance. Of course no elder knew about it. If they had known i, Ty and Dan would have been dead by now. Not that Uncle did not suspect anything, he kept on sniffing every nook andcorner of the house for any unplaced article that could prove that we had had a party. I threw fireballs at Tyson with my eyes hoping it would literally kill him. Grandma winked at me but i just wanted to yell at her, asking her what she was doing calling Tyson's friends to our house when there was no adult in the house. But of course i couldnt.

" The house looks clean", said Gran trying to throw us offhook .

" Too clean", replied Unc suspiciously.

But to my relief he didnot find any evidence and when we came back he had almost forgotten about it. When we returning home, Gran came with us saying she wanted to spend some quality time with us. Of course i did not beileve her.

Anyways we are back to school and the gossip has not stopped flowing in eversince Monday. The latest one that we had contacted a genie and he had granted us each a wish. Lola on the other hand told that she had felt a cold hand grab her and had made a run for it. Hearing this news i made a note and wrote it Lola

Dear Lola,

                 I am sorry for the inconvenience created my hand. I am extremely sorry for causig you unimaginable fear my pressing my cold fingers to the back of your neck

                                                                                                                                                The Hand

We all had a good laugh when we saw he skulking towards the restrooms peering at every corner as if she expected 'The Hand'.

With afternoon came P.E. and with P.E. came the news of the forthcoming match of our football team United Lions with ' Shoalin Tiger' (cheaters). I am relly looking forward to the match not because Ty was playing in it but Chris's interviwers were coming for the post school scholarship lookout. Chris had been selected for the procedure,who i saw had a weary smile, as if something was really biting him. But before i could go up to him, Nate came an d sat down.And there was no fricking way i would go near him. Not that i am crushing on him anymore. Because i totally am.

After P.E. got over after a tiring day of basketball, (i scored the most goals not because i am tackler or anything. Everybody just passes the ball and i being the the tallest girl would score it all in the hoop), when it all came back to me.

It was when i was under the hot shower feeling lightheaded that the voice , the lumbering voice that i had been hearing since the last three days. The raspy, acidy voice with biting hatred. Everytime i heard that voice a memory stirred , but i could not really place a finger to it.

Why was it that whenever i was doing nothing the voice crept to my head and chilled me to the bone. Ever since that day for some reason i have always been with somebody except the time when i bathe or go the bathroom. And also the thing about the boy. I had no idea who he was but i couldnt shake the feeling that i was no the only one who had seen him. Gadiel's face had gone pale that moment. I touched my locket and felt safe as usual. For some reason quite unknown i called it my talisman, my protector.

I met Chris and the others waiting for me at the parking lot. I saw Jane and Chris aruing for some reason. Though before i could reach them , they had seen me and gone off to this totally silent mouth. Weird?

" What you brought all these, just for me".

"Yes we did", said Nina and Jane in unison.

I didn't half the names of the brand said on the price tag.

" How much exactly did you spend", i said trying to cont how many dresses exactly they had brought from the store.

" Well Five"

"And total cost".

" Two hundred plus we also brought you two Jimmy Choos. We got a good bargain on them. You should be proud of us . They are designer after all. And dont give me that look", Nina said.

I looked at all these dresses and thought just how many books exactly i could buy with the money spent here.

" Here,", said  holding a dress, " You should totally were this to the party. You will look super cute in this"

" Yeaah right ", I said not at all sure about it.

" Yes", you will

Might as well listen to them since i have zero fashion sense. Not that they have too much of it, but better than them.

I had to hand it over to Nina. The dress she was holding was a super soothing turquoise colour dress.

 "This will bring out the blue in your eyes".

" You will look gorgeous in it"

" Plus i also brought this, she said taking out  a butterfly shaped pendent" From the local boutique store".

" Yeah we also brought similar pendents for ourself". " Yeah similar lucky pendents for good luck for Chris".

   As soon as she said Chris's name , my thoughts zeroed on what exactly what Chris had said  about Gadiel that day.

I just hope he was wrong. For some reasons whenever i imagined Jane and Gadiel, i was like ' Ew'.

"I mean it felt like My best friend was having a crush on my father. But that wasn't possible.

 That guy was about my age. I mean Gadiel, my father.

Yeah right
