Blood Lust - Rebirth

Chapter 4

Crow stopped reading around lunch time and started to order food from the phone next to his bed.

"So, some mac and cheese and a cup of juice is that all?" the voice on the other side of the phone asked.

"Yep. Thanks a lot." Crow replied.

"You're welcome, sir." said the voice on the phone.

Lunch arrived thirty minutes later on a tray held by a pretty and young nurse. She looked to be around the same age as Crow. He took the tray into his hands.

"Thank you." Crow said with a smile.

"You're welcome." The nurse smiled back.

He ate the food, amazed at how good mac and cheese could taste.

This is the best mac and cheese I've eaten in a long time, Crow thought.

When he finished, he put the tray on the counter next to his bed and gulped down the juice. When he finished it, he put it on the counter as well and picked up the book again. He continued to read.

He finished the book and prepared to go to sleep.

I gotta wait for the next one to come out now, he thought to himself. The book was good but sadly ended on a cliffhanger. He smiled, at least the next one will come out sometime this year. His eyelids soon felt heavy and closed, he fell asleep.
