When Worlds Collide

Chapter twenty-six

"It's negative." Addison smiles. I let out a huge gasp and put my hand over my fast beating heart.

"Really?" I say grabbing the stick from her. "Oh my god"

"This is good right?" She asks.

"Yes of course!" I exclaim.

Deep down my heart throbs in pain. Part of me wanted that stick to be positive, and I'm not really sure why. I know this is for the best, I'm only twenty and I know Ondreaz doesn't want to be tied down with a baby already.

"I'm so happy" She says hugging me.

"Hey what's going on here?" Ondreaz's voice fills the room and we both turn our heads toward the bathroom door.

He furrows his eyebrows when he sees the stick and looks at me.

"Wh-what is that a pregnancy test?" He asks.

"Yes it is" I nod. "But it's negative"

"Addison" He says and points to the door. She puts her head down and leaves the room.

Ondreaz moves closer and looks at the stick. He looks back at me but doesn't say anything for a little while.

"Why didn't you tell me you were worried about this?" He asks.

"I didn't want to stress you out about it." I shrug.

"Why did you even worry?" He asks.

"I'm not on birth control and we didn't use a condom so I was just scared."

"I just assumed you were on something. Why didn't you tell me you weren't?"

"Well I don't know, I wasn't really thinking about that at the time"

"Well you should have been Eleanor. What would we do if that test was positive? I'm not ready to have a baby and I know for sure you aren't. This would ruin your life even more" He says in frustration.

"Okay Ondreaz, calm down. It's negative so we don't have to worr-"

"No!" He yells and my face falls. "Fuck"

He turns around and walks out of the room, leaving me standing confused. I dispose the stick and throw the extras down in my cupboard.

I never expected Ondreaz to be that mad over it, I was definitely expecting him to be a little upset that I didn't tell him, but since it was negative I thought it wouldn't be a big deal.

I lay back on my bed and sigh. I'm a little hurt by Ondreaz's words but I know he's just upset. I'm going to give him as much time as he needs to clam down.

Thomas💪🏼: Pool later?

Jack🥺: Yup

Addison🌸: Eleanor?? You in or want me to stay with you?

Me: I'm in

Ryland😋: What's wrong shawty?

Me: Nothing lol

Alex: Good with us

I see the time is only ten so I pull on a pair of sweats and a tank top and run downstairs to grab a snack.

"How did he take it?" Addison asks when I get to the kitchen. I look around to make sure no one can hear us.

"He's mad" I say quietly. "He freaked out"

"Seriously? It must have scared him"

"Yeah. I wouldn't have told him if I knew this is the way he would react. I understand why he's upset but I wasn't expecting him to yell at me"
