I'm walking down the sidewalk, people unknowingly run into me. I stop, looking for Tormaigh, my companion. But my eyes locked onto a young man, around the age of 17 maybe older. He looked straight at me, smiled and walked around me. I turn around and look at him like he is crazy and run after him, thinking only one thing...I found him...
My name is Kate, I'm this world's god, but I'm not in control, someone else is. My only hope runs and runs, so I follow, tripping over my own feet, tree branches slashing my face, legs and arms. The boy was only feet in front of me, I could almost feel the heat radiating off of him. I reached my hand out, the ground shakes, trees grow creating a wall. The boy turns around, looking at me horrified. I catch up to the boy, grab him, and smile.
"I'm glad I could get to you, you were about to run right off a cliff!"
Kate waves her hand and the trees return to the ground. She then points to the rocky edge that could have meant his immediate death. She always wished that she could change the terrain of the Earth, but that was the only thing she couldn't control. She smiles again and turns to walk away, but she stops.
"Thank you, f-for saving my life, " The young boy said looking at the ground, "how did you... "
"Oh, this is my talent as you guys say... I'm... Never mind you wouldn't understand." Kate said, then turning her back as she ran, not letting him say another word. "Arthur, my name is Arthur!"
She turns back not even a second to see him, 'Arthur, my savior,' she thinks. She quickly makes a note of his fiery eyes, his upturned nose, and lastly, his thin lips completing his look. She smiles and runs into her garden, creating a replica of him. Kate is getting ready to turn around, when she hears Arthur yell stop, but it's too late, Tormaigh, Kate's companion stabs her. Her limp body fell to the ground, a light erupted from her chest and when it left you could no longer see her body. Arthur falls to the ground in tears, watching as the Earth starts to turn black, starting from where the girl that saved his life lay.
Arthur looks up feeling pained for the girl that saved his life. Tormaigh begins to walk over to Arthur, as he wipes the blood of the girl on his white tank-top.
