"Do you have your toothbrush?" my dad asked me as I loaded the last of my things into the trunk of my car.
"yes."
"camera equipment?"
"yes dad and even if I forgot all of my stuff they have camera equipment there that's way better than anything I've got." I added.
"are you sure you don't want me to microwave a yam for the road?"
"yes I'm sure dad."
"really? Yams have a lot of good fiber and the carbohydrates that will help keep you going through that long drive your taking. Are you still sure you guys don't want me to drive you? I'm fine with it really, there's this new pod saves america about Obama wearing a tan suit and I really want to listen to."
"I'm more than happy to drive and you have work today dad. everything is going to be fine" I said as I got in the front seat of the car.
"Okay then. Bye maria" my dad said halfheartedly.
"Bye bye dad, love you!" I shouted through the window as I watched him wave me goodbye.
I smiled as I looked at my cup holder to find a warm tinfoil wrapped yam waiting for me.
