Summer Break 18

I woke up feeling guilty. I rubbed my eyes and saw Rider's dimly lit room. Rider was asleep next to me. His features looked so soft. I noticed his long dark eyelashes and his amazingly built body. His hairless torso made his abs look incredible. I quietly got out of his warm bed he moved a little but feel right back to sleep. I picked up my clothes of the floor and went into my guest room. I put my dirty clothes in a dirty laundry hamper and I took a quick shower. I decided to skip my running workout today and i decided to go on a walk with Mr. Compadre. When I got downstairs Rider was drinking a protein shake shirtless. 

"Good morning babe!" Rider acknowledge me "Want some!?" 

"No thank you. I'll just eat an apple instead" I said "I was thinking about taking Mr. Compadre on a walk" 

"That's a great idea! There's this park nearby that he loves!" Rider said "Just let me get changed an we can go!"

"Alright!" I said 

Rider, Mr. Compadre, and I walked five minutes to a beautiful park nearby. The park was gated which made it ideal for pets. The grass, a beautiful green color, looked so fake but felt so real! 

"You alright? You haven't said much" Rider threw Mr. Compadre his faveorite ball and he went to go fetch.

"I'm just thinking..."

"About what?" Mr.Compadre ran back giving his ball back to Rider.

"About us" Just tell him what's been on your mind and how you feel.

"Oh really like what!" Rider threw the ball back and Mr. Compadre took off after it.

I went and sat on an old wooden swing bench glider. It was pretty beaten up and had graffiti on it. It made me think about everyone who has ever sat on the bench glider. 

"Everything okay?" Rider sat next to me as we swang on the glider

 "Rider will you please stop asking if things are okay because you know what they are not" I fumed. My face started to heat up with anger. "Quit thinking that things between us are okay, because you very well know that they are not."

Rider was shocked. Don't get me wrong I was shocked at the words coming out of my mouth. "Daniella, what are you talking about?" 

He held me hand but I pulled away. "I'm talking about trust Rider. TRUST." 

"What about trust?" He asked 

"I know very well that you don't trust me." I semi shouted

"Where did you get that crazy assumption from?" 

"It's not an assumption. How come you never trusted me to tell me about that girl. You know the girl that broke your friendship with Brey. Was that girl worth your friendship?" I had a lump in my throat and I saw a tear rol down Riders cheek but he quickly wiped it away. "You know what the worst part of it all is? It's hearing about it from your mother."

"Is this what it's all about? Daniella you don't know the whole back story." His voice started to crack. "And why are you blowing up on me Alex and Chase were also in on it. Do you trust me, Daniella?"

I wanted to tell him about that night with Chase and just get it all out. But I couldn't. I couldn't be able to sleep at night knowing that I ruined his relationship with Chase over a dumn kiss that meant nothing to me. My relationship with Rider gives me so much anxiety that I just can't deal with it anymore. "Don't you ever think about the future" 

"The future? Daniella, that's all you worry about. Why can't you just enjoy what you have right now and live in the moment." Rider semi shouted a me "You know everything in life is not perfect. Life is an awful mess. So quit thinking that everything in your life is going to be perfect. You know what Daniella if something in your life doesn't go right you just shut down. Take your father's death for example."
